American cowards

Many Outlets Are Censoring Charlie Hebdo s Satirical Cartoons After Attack - BuzzFeed News

CNN is not the only network not showing the cartoons — in fact, all the major networks and cable channels are declining to show them. Asked whether NBC News would show images of the Muhammad cartoons in the course of its reporting on the story, a NBC News spokesperson said, “Our NBC News Group Standards team has sent guidance to NBC News, MSNBC, and CNBC not to show headlines or cartoons that could be viewed as insensitive or offensive.”

Spokespeople for both ABC News and CBS News confirmed to BuzzFeed News on Wednesday that they would not show the
Charlie Hebdo cartoons of Muhammad, though a CBS News spokesperson said later that “CBS News will make an editorial decision based on the relevancy to the story.” And Fox News, though it did show a shot of one of the cartoons earlier, told the Washington Post that it has “no plans” to air it again.

How the biggest american companies in the USA deal with free speech shame America (self censorship out of cowardice) ... It s shaming that French are the example of bravery and americans are the example of cowardice now

Why show such tripe?

The French are examples of stupidity, not bravery.

Actually, I think it needs to be shown more. If it were depicting Christians, the left would be all about it.

more acts of American cowardice by US newspapers ...

his decision not to show the images of the prophet Muhammad – a position that was taken by The Washington Post (on its news pages), The Associated Press, CNN and many other American news organizations.

Embarrassing, luckely there are still some who defend their journalistic rights.

BuzzFeed and the Huffington Postwere among those that did publish the cartoons.

They are private businesses. They can decline to publish whatever they wish. Nobody can blame them if they are concerned that certain material might lead to their employees' lives being in danger. There is nothing cowardly about it.

There is, they are journalists. Not publishing cartoons of the main story out of fear is called self censorship and journalistic cowardice. This French cartoon organisation is one that didn't surrender to self censorship as all the others did. And the cowardice of those others made them the only target left standing, the only ones standing up for freedom of expression while the American cowards flee for self censorship and surrender to the threat of violence: The terrorist basically dictate their journalistic policy.

It s funny how all the French coward jokes aside it are the French who have to stand up for freedom of expression. Even when they die for their principles, the American companies don't even have the basic journalistic decency to publish the cartoons that made them the target.

This is the point they were trying to make, what are you if you are living by someone elses religious rules? Maybe you could start praying to mekka too if they say it insults muslims if you do not pray to mekka

This is the point of this cartoon for example: it s a joke about handicapped muslims & a jew pushing it. It jokes about the french movie intouchables

If you re going to accept you can not make jokes about certain things, you are starting to live in a autocratic state. You accept that muslims can impose their beliefs upon you and maybe next you should start accepting living by their other beliefs as well

No, it's called editorial discretion. Stop being an idiot.

The bigger issue is the Cowardice of President Obama.

What has Obama done while Journalists have been murdered by the Moslem Terrorists? What has been Obama's response to the kidnappings of children? What does Obama do about terrorism in Africa?

The Drone War?

Yes, the media is terrible, we all get that, the media is Obama, the media is Democrats, the media is the Liberal's, hence we can see that Democrats are American Cowards.
