American Arabs among those who fought during World War II - The Arab Daily News

More than 15,000 Americans of Arab heritage fought during World War II to defend the United States against the Japanese and their German Nazi and Italian Fascist “Axis” powers.

Several served in prominent positions including Army officers Maj. Gen. Fred A. Safay, (1898 to 1952) who fought alongside Gen. George S. Patton, the commander of the 7th United States Army, and later the 3rd United States Army in the European Theater of World War II. Also, Brigadier General Elias Stevens, who served on the staff of General Dwight D. Eisenhower, the 5 Star General and Supreme Commander of all Allied Forces during World War II.

The history of Arabs coming and settling in the Americas is long and diverse. Many people believe that Arabs are new to the United States, but in fact Arabs have been coming to the United States for hundreds of years. As early as the 15th Century, Spanish explorers brought slaves from the Arab world to the Americas. In the late 18th Century, the South Carolina House of Representatives decided that Moroccan Arabs living in the state should be treated according to the laws for whites, not the laws for blacks from Africa.

Arab American history received a significant push during the era called the Great Migration, the period between 1880 and 1924, when more than 20 million immigrants entered the United States. Most of the immigrants came from Southern and Eastern Europe, but more than 95,000 Arabs came from Greater Syria. By 1924, there were about 200,000 Arabs living in the United States.

As the number of immigrants who came to the United States during the Great Migration grew, resistance to them also grew among Americans born in the United States. Groups of people working to end immigration in the United States claimed the Arab immigrants were un-American, had cultures that did not fit with American culture, were more likely to be criminal and poor, and did not understand the American political system. These movements grew in strength, and a series of laws passed by the U.S. Congress in 1917, 1921, and 1924 caused immigration from the Arab world to slow down to a trickle. The historical period called the Great Migration ended with these restrictive laws and a similar period in the history of the United States would not reemerge until the mid 1960’s.

Why is it said that Arabs hate the Jewish people just like Hitler did?

Why do Muslims Hate the Jews?
Why do Muslims Hate the Jews?

This hatred has continued from the time of Mohammed to the present. A recent story about a Saudi textbook affirms the tradition.

A twelfth-grade Saudi textbook is teaching hatred of Jews and jihad to liberate Palestine, according to MEMRI. The report illustrates that hatred and violence continue to be themes in Saudi educational materials, putting a black mark on the conservative Islamic kingdom's desire to become a "knowledge society."

"Whoever studies the nature of the conflict between the Muslims and the Jews understands an important fact, [namely that] this is a religious conflict, not a dispute about politics or nationality, or a conflict between races or tribes, or a fight over land or country, as some describe it," states Saudi textbook Studies from the Muslim World.

The book says that the conflict will not end unless one side vanquishes the other, because "throughout Islamic history, the Jews have striven to destroy the [Islamic] religion and spread fitna [chaos] among the Muslims. The book also repeats classic anti-Semitic lies that Jews have taken control of Western media and culture, exploited their home societies, and aligned themselves with Christians to destroy Islam.” (Saudi High School Textbook Preaches Hate, Dec. 8, 2011)

6. Following are excerpts from statements made at a rally of the Palestinian Al-Ahrar movement in Gaza, a pro-Hamas group that split from Fatah, which aired on Al-Aqsa TV on November 3, 2011 (*):

“Praise be to you, our Lord. You have made our killing of the Jews an act of worship, through which we come closer to you.” (This coming closer to god can also be accomplished through sodomy and rape)

I pray that God Almighty rids this world of things which go contrary to His Will or take His People into His place of Rest. In Jesus' Name, I pray, Amen.

15,000?

that's it?

You might not want to brag about such a small number, unless you can prove how many where volunteers.

Military history of Jewish Americans Military history of Jewish Americans - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jewish Americans have served in the United States armed forces dating back to before the colonial era, when Jews had served in militias of the Thirteen Colonies. Jewish military personnel have served in all branches of the armed forces and in every major armed conflict to which the United States has been involved. The Jewish Chaplains Council estimated that there are currently 10,000 known Jewish servicemen and servicewomen on active duty.[1][2]

A number of Jewish American servicemen have gained fame due to their military service, and many have received awards and decorations for distinguished service, valor, or heroism. More than 20 Jewish servicemen were awarded the military's highest award, the Medal of Honor. Many other American Jews who served in the military later achieved prominence in business, politics, science, entertainment and other fields. American Jews have also been significant in the development of military science and technology – including physicists Albert Einstein, J. Robert Oppenheimer, Richard Feynman, and Edward Teller, who were important in the Manhattan Project, which led to the development of the first nuclear weapons.

With more love coming out of mouths, less people may run to death so quickly.

I might be able to stand with the help of God, but certain kids may not.

Social media and suicide Social media and suicide - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Social media and suicide is a relatively new phenomenon, which influences suicide-related behavior. Suicide is a leading cause of death worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, in the year 2020 approximately 1.53 million people will die from suicide (Gvion & Apter, 2012). There is increasing evidence that this behavior of using social media effects people’s lives changes people's lives, especially in teenagers. Suicide has been identified not only as an individual phenomenon, but it is influenced by social and environmental factors (Gvion & Apter, 2012).

In one of widely known cases, the death of Phoebe Prince, it is generally believed that her actions of suicide were motivated by cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is a huge problem that is linked to increases in suicide rates (Mason, 2008). Other reasons One of the explanations that have risen is the cause and effect relationship between social media advertised suicides and younger generations being influenced by them. behind kids being influenced by suicide tendencies via the Internet, is the psychological explanation behind "15 minutes of fame." Media tends to blow up videos and Facebook status' in order to inform the public of the rising trouble. However, the media has yet to take into consideration the bandwagon appeal it brings to the young and immature minds of teenagers. Besides this, Social media also includes some other risks with the impact of different kinds of pro-suicidal sites, message boards, chat rooms and forums. Meanwhile, In addition, the Internet not only reports suicide incidents but documents suicide methods, such as Suicide Pacts, which is an agreement between two or more people to die by suicide at a particular time and often by the same lethal means, and some other pro-suicide behavior. The role that the Internet, particularly social media, might have in suicide-related behavior is a topic of growing interest. We will discuss how social media will have an influence on suicide related behavior.

People like this need to be imprisoned.... I thought NSA was watching computers nowdays??? Oh yeah... people have the right to do as they please, I forgot.. Just like kids who commit suicide have the right to NOT do so, right?

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines in the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! Oh long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more!
Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved home and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust." <<< QQ huh?
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Well, the problem for you Democratic Party brownshirts is that if the NSA actually ever tried to round up all of us Politically Incorrect proles they wouldn't get far, as they would have lock up over 80% of the country, including themselves, so we aren't at all worried about those idiots and their Big Plans, any more than passing illegal gun control Bills is going to make the American public run out and immediately turn in some 200 million firearms; they are just going to laugh at the morons trying to do any of those things you and Hillary and Obama dream about.

And, about all those 'Arab Americans' serving in WW II n Stuff ....

The First Wave: Mass Migration (1880-1924) | Reclaiming Identity: Dismantling Arab Stereotypes

Political repression, economic instability, and war subsequently led many Arabs to come to the U.S. The majority of Arabs that came at this time were Lebanese/Syrian Christians. Many settled in cities such as New York, Boston, and Detroit, where textile, peddling, and automotive industries promised employment.

They weren't Islamo-Vermin, something you seemed reluctant to point out for some reason, probably because you wanted to lie by omission and make it all about Arabs or something. They were fleeing ISlam and that 'great secularization' your Hero Kemal was conducting and morons keep bragging about as if this butcher was some kind of enlightened sophisticate.
