Cuomo was DEAD right.

America was not great while slavery was legal and/or women could not vote. Anyone who says otherwise is either racist and/or misogynistic. So that rules out America before 1920 completely.

And even after that...racism and a restriction on women's rights was still rampant (if illegal/immoral).

And America is still a highly racist country...much more so than many other western countries. And women still are not there yet when it comes to complete equality (pay for example).
