Obama has touched a part of the American "soul" that goes beyond race.
He represents all that IS right with America and all that COULD be right again under the right leadership.

My only question is based on Obama's "questionable acquaintances" remark. If Obama were a white man or even a Republican would his friendships, acquaintances or even passing knowledge of these men even be an issue? Are John McCain's friends and associates so squeaky clean that he has room to disparage Obama based on the words and/or actions of people he may or may not associate with? are ANY of ours?
As for the experience question, well I say this, perhaps someone who hasn't had the opportunity to become jaded and set in their ways with decades of experience will be more open the possibility that it's not Americans job to save the entire world and we should be working on saving ourselves first.

Ayers has apparently turned his life around and become a respected and contributing member of society. Bin Laden will never be able to do that and for you to make the connection really speaks to the heart of how desparate some are to turn this into a campaign about who Obama knows and not who Obama IS.

As far as I'm concerned, Ayers is a bomb setting terrorist and he is responsible for maiming and blinding police officers. Just because no one got killed is a moot point. So if no one got killed on 9/11 Osama would be an OK guy to hang out with?
Obama IS just another politician, just another tax and spend liberal who will do anything to get elected. And I'm sorry but the people you hang out with are telling of your character. BHO basically was given a coming out party by Ayers that is more than a mere acquaintance does for someone. I've said this before in another post but I'll repeat the question: if BHO has nothing to hide, why doesn't he take the Ayers question head on instead of threatening legal action to basically block a private citizen's first amendment rights? The fact that BHO would rather threaten legal action tells me he is hiding something.

The only reason I am voting for JM is that I disagree with BHO's policies more than I disagree with JM's. None of this other stuff has influenced me personally but it is interesting.
