America Spends The Most On Health Care, Yet Gets The Least

I just defended paying your own bills and pulling your own weight, troll twins.

Since you have to lie about what you said, I'll post it again

They can afford the (purposefully) generic "health care" all day long, it's a catastrophic medical incident that they cannot afford and what ends up bankrupting some.

You won't even stand up for your own words.
Your trouble reading for comprehension is your own problem.

America doesn't lack for "health care"...We have more of it than just about any nation on the planet.

What America lacks is the impossible solution for containing costs when a third party pays for anything, let alone medical services.

Again, that you're an economic ignoramus who cannot make that easy connection is also your problem.

Awww, did we hurt the little dude's feelings? Tell us where it hurts, and we'll ask you why you never defend yourself, you little twirp

Costa Rica has 1/10 the personal income that we do, yet ranks above us in health care, and they are third in longevity. They have had universal health care for 60 years.

I can't believe you're actually gullible enough to cite the WHO report as a credible ranking of health care. That has been debunked so many times because of its blatant bias towards nations with socialist health care. Do you know even know what the WHO report says? Do you have the slightest how they did their ranking? Have you ever read a single page of it?

These are rhetorical questions, because the answer to them all is no, you haven't.

I could give to fucks about my insurance company paying, I think we get the HC we pay for. Dude is still a troll to be mocked though.

Oh shit the poor people. Fuck that. But that is too the point. The libtards take issue with you get what you pay for so they doctor up some bs studies bemoning ours. Fail

If you can't afford it you don't get it. If you want more of something increase the supply. As in add more doctors. The AMA is a cabal just as Opec is, open up access to med school and HC cost plummet

It's not just the poor people who can't afford it. It's the middle class working people even WITH insurance who still can't afford healthcare. The number 1 cause of bankruptcy in this country was due to unpaid medical bills.....and of those people 70% of them HAD health insurance. So to say that it's just the poor who can't afford health coverage is a gross understatement.

Unpaid medical bills are also a leading cause of bankruptcy in Canada, which has a universal health care system. The only way to make health care "affordable" to everyone is to degrade the quality and ration it, resulting in worse care for anybody. If you want the best, you're going to pay for the best.

They should be looking for ways to improve the quality of health care for everybody, not drag everybody down to the same shitty level.

allowing more into medical school wouldn't degrade it. It's artificially kept low to keep doctors salaries high.

You should care because going through a third party to pay for your care is one of the biggest reasons why health care costs in this country are so high. Who cares if your pills cost $100 a month if you're only paying a $10 copay and your insurance company is paying the other $90? That's exactly the problem. The free market in the American health care industry is virtually extinct and as a result there are no market force to bring down the cost of care.

There is no shadow conspiracy to limit the number of doctors in order for them to get paid more. Where are on earth did you get that from?

A basic econ 101 dynamic our new "economic guru" should've already known, but didn't.

Did I hear someone say "poseur"?

I'm not down with insurance bashing, how is limiting the number of doctors free market.

Dude nobody's going to you for economics that's obvious to me in 2 days. Insurance companies serve a viable purpose. The fact that uneducated tools don't get it doesn't make it so.

I'm not the dickweed who scolded libruls for being economic ignorants earlier today, you are.

Since then, most of your posts have clearly demonstrated that the most basic of economic models are waaaaay over your pointy little head.

You're an amusing little troll, if nothing else.

Yep, Dude, that's you, the poseur. And getting back to reality, read very carefully Taz's article (which he did not document). Read it very carefully, and then we will continue medical bankruptcy in Canada. What is important is that some research indicates the 2/3rd rate in the U.S. may be much loser than has been the verbiage. However, let's investigate who the researchers are in this link, and who they are working for.

Conclusion: conservative financial and economic scholars and individuals publishing in a conservative think tank’s journal. They seem to be legitimate professions to the right of center, but I don’t think there conclusions about Canada are accurate. However, their comments regarding bankruptcy rates in relation to medical reasons seems to be based on good evidence.

A leading and THE leading cause are a big difference. I never said Canada system was perfect or that we should be emulating it verbatim. Canada is FAR from perfect, but we are nowhere near where we should be, ESPECIALLY for how much we pay as a nation. And the only way to make healthcare affordable is not to degrade the quality....it's to change the system so that it's not profit driven and focuses on patient outcomes as opposes to fiscal balance sheets.
