Amelia Earhart - Makes you Wonder what else the Government has lied about

Until the leading space aliens of that era are questioned no reliable conclusion can be made.

It's about forensics. No Bones, no real tell tale photos. This one? 1938 was a long time ago, this photo, and the resulting mythos that sprang from Earhart's disappearance . It's just subjective. Earhart and Noonan died as a monumental result of human error. Nothing more, nothing less.

there is a clue to a pretty sharp navigation error

from using the stars to using the sun

a little after 6 am reported she was 200 miles off the coast of howland island

a half hour later she reported she was a 100 miles out

unlikely they covered a hundred miles in a 1/2 hour
Cruising speed for her Lockheed was 190 mph.

indeed in a perfect world

however cruise speed is not necessarily the true speed of travel

Airspeed = Ground Speed +/- Wind Speed

True, but unless you think she had a 200 knot tail wind, it's still a lot of distance to cover.

The facts remains your support for the Marshall Islands conspiracy doesn't add up. As with most conspiracy theorists, there is no fact in the world that will change their mind. Her plane and body could found 50 miles off from Howland Island and the CTers will say "Yes, the Japanese put it there to cover up the execution".

dont know if you are dense or what

once again

i do not believe it is her nor the theory

Wasn't that what your post that she could have been off 900 miles, the distance from Howland to the Marshalls was all about?

Sorry, but it was one of the largest SAR missions in history with many US sailors risking their lives in the search.

The Reason Why the Search for Amelia Earhart Was Called Off
A mission that cost them 250k a day that ultimately made the government want to make such navy searches illegal for civilian/celebrity adventurers.

Then we learn that the government knew she and Noonsn had been captured...and they did nothing.

Not only did they waste time and money. They left them with the Japanese.

Not very good PR.
1) Is that a retraction of your earlier statement that no search was made at all? "they did nothing in the way of a rescue attempt"

2) As shown in a previous post, it's highly unlikely Earhart could have made it the 930+ miles to the Marshall Islands without fuel. Add to this, the Electra 10E cruised at 190MPH. A 930 mile flight would have taken her almost 5 hours additional flight time. Highly unlikely she'd have turned that way instead of looking for Howland. Add to this, is Earhart ended up in the Marshall Islands, she'd be a much worse pilot than anyone previously believed.

3) This still doesn't explain why the US would hide "the truth" for nearly 80 years. As shown above, looking at the Marshalls would be a waste of time since Earhart didn't have the fuel and all the radio triangulations showed she was around Howland. IF she had been captured by the Japanese, the US has a very plausible reason for not looking at the Marshalls and a very good post-WWII reason to hang a few more Japanese for war crimes. So why hide it?
I didn't say they didn't search the ocean. I said a rescue attempt from the Japanese never happened.

Don't put words in my mouth.

And as for your claims she couldn't have made it to Marshall Islands. That was covered in the documentary and experts said she could have made it there and they explained in detail why they believed it was possible.

Many eye witnesses saw her in Japanese custody and came forward to talk about it years ago. I find it perfectly plausible that she could have been captured and the government left her to die and then covered it up. Much like they were trying (and failing) to do with Benghazi.
Sorry for misunderstanding your previous post.

I didn't watch the documentary, the picture has been proven to be from 1935 and both the math and political reasoning doesn't add up. Believe as you wish. If you want to believe Earhart was over 900 miles off course, fine. If you want to believe all of those radio triangulations were faked, a big government conspiracy or erroneous, fine. Produce evidence proving Earhart and her aircraft were captured by the Japanese and I'll be happy to discuss it.

even today using dead reckoning being off by a degree or two over great distance

one could be off by 900 miles that was possible

however the rest doesnt add up

yes it is possible with navigation errors to be that far off or more

however does not MEAN I Agree with the Theory

in fact i said the theory does not add up

but keep banging your head against the wall
