Almost Three Years Into His Presidency And He's Now Just Getting Around

wheres is the republican one?

You know the JOBS JOBS JOBS thing they ran on last time arround.

I think they got overrun by "We will do anything to make sure he's a one-term President", and compounded by "We just can't give the peep corps enough money, so there is none for jobs. Sorry. Norly."

Why wasn't anything done when he had the Senate and Congress?
The stimulus was a payback for the unions, but did nothing for most of the unemployed and cost hundreds of thousands for the ones that did get a job.

Funny how two people can look at the exact same situation and come away with completely different takes on it, innit.

"It didn't fail. It just hasn't been up the level we need. There's a difference."

Sorry, but it hasn't been even CLOSE to the level we need, Don'tBeStupid...making it hard for see it as anything else but a failure.

Because you are judging the Recovery Act as a jobs bill when it wasn't. It was an economic recovery bill. It did exactly that. We didn't slide in to a depression. The economy started growing again. Job losses were eliminated. That means it didn't fail. But, it didn't exceed expectations either, which is why we aren't having the job growth now that we need.

I beg to differ, Don'tBe...it was TARP that kept us from sliding into a depression, not the Recovery Act. I've never said the Recovery Act WAS a jobs bill because quite frankly, it wasn't. It SHOULD have been a jobs bill and it was sold as a jobs bill but there was very little in that legislation to stimulate job creation. Job losses were technically eliminated but only because massive job loss in the private sector was masked by hiring in the public sector. It had small tax cuts in it so that Obama could say that he'd kept his campaign promise to cut taxes for most Americans but not enough to actually stimulate the economy. The Obama Stimulus didn't make the economy REALLY grow...it just hid the fact that it wasn't really growing at all. Things like Cash for Clunkers and money for first time home buyers? Those were simply give-a-ways to keep our economic numbers from being absolutely awful but they were all temporary. None of them ever fixed the underlying problems.

Maybe he'll announce another "Cash For Clunkers" program. Boy, that was a huge success, wasn't it?

Yup. Cash for clunkers was a winner for sure.

Its on par with all those shovel ready jobs and Obamacare thats gonna save us trillions in HC costs.

In case you haven't been informed by the looney left yet, the entire automobile industry in the United States was saved by the actions of President Obama. Those actions include cash for clunkers. Without that, there would not be an auto industry in the U.S. today. Just so ya know. :eusa_whistle:

Yep. The looney left forgets that even with all that taxpayer dough both car companies went into bankruptcy.

Hell. They could have done that without our hard earned money.

Maybe he thought Republicans had a plan. After all, they ran on "Jobs Jobs Jobs".

Pssssssst. Dipshit - Obama's President. He's announcing his "jobs plan." Aren't you thrilled? You may finally get off welfare.

Here's a little something from 2008

Obama promises 2.5M jobs in weekly address - Washington Times

Where are they?

He passed that.

Jan 2009; 60.6% of the country is employed.
July 2011 (last month data listed) 58.2% of the country is employed. Look at that amazing effort getting the country back to work.

I'm curious about something. Don't conservatives believe the government cannot create jobs. That in fact, the best thing the Government can do is just get out of the way.

So why then, after 3 years of Obama getting out of the way, are you now yelling at him because he got out of the way?

The government does not create jobs. You are correct. That's why it will be interesting to see how this bumbling idiot is going to attempt it. So far, it's been one colossal fuck up.

Then why did the right lie about their JOBS JOBS JOBS election they won?

For the most part the "right" ran off creating an environment to create jobs... While yes some said they would just create jobs that really has no relevance because not all of them, nor did most of them that ran and won say they would just "create jobs."

However, the current President did say when he was running for President that he would create jobs, and of course that didn’t happen, well not on the level he had hoped for. Past that he again claimed Obamacare would create jobs instantly, and that didn’t happen either... Now Obama is back to claiming he will once again create jobs.

The thing of it is TM, is that you try and push this idea that Obama in fact did create jobs, that Obama did save the economy... Yet Obama is still trying to create job and still trying to "save the economy." Point is, how many times does Obama have to create millions of jobs and save the economy until it does not need "saving"?

Also TM, you claim the minority in the Houses Republicans, the TP can and did cockblock the whole system and "hold the country hostage," so why can't someone like Obama with the majority in the Senate and still lots of votes in the house (more than the tea party in the house) cockblock the Republicans? Do you see what I mean TM? If the Tea Party can do it with no President, no majority in either house, does that mean we can blame it on Democrats that actually hold a majority and the Presidency, or is that considered a conspiracy theory like for you? Maybe you can see why you sound like such a dumb fuck when you try and pawn the crap budget Obama and the Dems signed off on the Tea Party when their Budget actually balanced the budget in 5 years, not adding 15 Trillion over 10 like Obama’s and the Dems budget does.

Fly Ash Measure To Get Fall Vote - News, Sports, Jobs - The Intelligencer / Wheeling News-Register
The agenda is to focus on job creation, Cantor said, noting the strategy will be to defeat "job-destroying regulations" and create "immediate tax relief to create middle class jobs." He slated the vote on Rep. David McKinley's bill, House Resolution 2273, for sometime in late October or early November.
