All in all.....Its been a bad year for Republicans

The teabagger freshmen of 2010 and the spectacle of their abortion of a campaign this year has probably ruined their brand for a generation, and the 2014 midterms are certain to be the same shit, Say hello to political obscurity, the price of putting party ideology before the American people, this fiscal cliff mess they precipitated will guarantee it.

But you were a douchebag when it started and still are as it ends. Day in and day out, the same old, same old. Zzzzzzzzz.

Is there a creative, insightful bone in your body, drone?

As a Republican, why don't you just respond with the 2012 GOP highlights?
Why do you think a "win" for the Dems translates into a "win" for you?

Oh shit! Now you've gone and done it. I can't wait to see his answer. Where's the popcorn?

You'll be happier....

Where have I declared a win?

Why can't Republicans honestly assess their performance in 2012?

How many of you Republicans are happy with what happened in 2012? I was not happy with 2010 and was glad to see Democrats do something about it

Why can't Republicans?

Those who don't learn are doomed to repeat. This is not a bad thing, you know. Let them continue in the vein they have.

demoncraps have nothing to teach that's worth learning, If we wanted to be demoncraps we'd join you demoncraps but we don't. want to.

2012 started with so much promise for the GOP. It was going to be a year when they took control of the White House and Senate. A year when they would kill Obamacare. A year when they would continue their assault on gay rights

What happened?

Against a vulnerable candidate they ran the worst field of Presidential candidates in a generation. They tied up their only credible candidate in an endless primary with endless debates only to pick the guy everyone knew would win anyway. They forced their candidate to pander to the mega rich and social conservatives. They attacked 47% of Americans. They ended up losing 323 to 206

Only having to defend 10 GOP seats, they had a clear path to taking the Senate. The 23 Democrats were vulnerable. They drove away Olympia Snowe and Richard Lugar. They ran candidates who supported banning abortion for rape. They tried to buy elections. They ended up losing two Senate seats rather than winning seats and have jeopardized their chances of taking the Senate in 2014

Republicans were cocky about killing Obamacare. The Conservative stacked Supreme Court would gut the bill, President Romney would do the rest. Justice Roberts ended up saying he would not bear the burden as the man who killed universal healthcare and sided with the liberals. Romney was soundly defeated Obamacare is here to stay

Republicans knew that voters would never vote for gay marriage and pushed for state legislation for an up or down vote. For the first time, voters supported the rights of gays to marry

Yes, 2012 was a bad year for Republicans

you mispelled Americans.

What did you mean by that? That only Republicans are Americans?

no asswarp,, I meant that all Americans had a bad year. food is up, gas is up, taxes are going up, health care is becoming unaffordable, we've consistantly been lied to,,, bla bla bla,, now put your head back into your partisan ass whydon'tchya?

edit to add. economic and class warfare and demonization of the wealthy have been waged by the democraps with success, they won ugly and that means All Americans had a very bad year.

Pyrrhic victory
A victory that is offset by staggering losses.

In the case of obama, what democrats have won is the lack of ability to govern the almost half of the country that will have none of it

I see both the Democrats AND Republicans representing the same things: Huge Gov't. Yeah, the rhetoric differs but they want the same things.

You claim the Republicans had a bad year yet they got what they wanted: Huge Gov't. Why do you think Republican "leadership" is so eager to go along with the Democrats? If they actually believed anything they say they're be threatening Filibusters.

So my assessment of the Republican Party: Win!

Been a pretty lousy year for most Americans too. Next year doesn't look promising either.

Yup... No matter how they try to spin it, Obama is going to own Tax increases if he doesn't let up on reckless entitlement spending.

I truly don't think Paul Ryan and the Republicans were shooting for HUGE government. Nope.

2012 GOP Lowlights

1. Attack on women: Rush Limbaugh calls Sandra Fluke a slut for using birth control. Republicans demonize Fluke calling her ugly, a whore, a freeloader. House panel on womens birth control issues is all men

2. Romneys 47%: In a private meeting, Romney calls 47% of Americans freeloaders looking for government handouts. After the election, he blames his loss on people looking for free stuff

3. Donald Trump: Republicans pander to Trump who returns the favor by doubling down on birther nonsense and offers a bounty on obama's college records

4. Akin and Mourdock: Shock even Republicans with their "legitimate rape" and "gods plan" quotes

5. The Empty Chair: Republicans giggle at Eastwoods empty chair routine then end up getting destroyed in the elections by an empty chair

1) 'Republicans' are not mad that she fucks or uses birth control... As a matter of fact, I fully support her freedom to go out and buy all the condoms or birth control pills/devices she wants to use... But when the cockgobbler expects to have government force others against their will or belief to provide it to her cheaper or free, there is where she is flat out wrong
2) Gaff by Romney?? Sure.. You can easily say that... But it is a truth that people will keep voting for free stuff or to have others pay their burden for them... Do I expect a welfare queen to vote REP or CON or LIB?? Nope... What I do expect is to have government operate within the strict boundaries of the constitution and throw out those who thwart it
3) Trump matters HOW?? Does he matter any more than Sean Penn and his nutjob actions or statements??
4) Again.. need to bring up DEM gaffes and inane statements ranging from global warming to gays to religion bashing to whatever else??
5) It was funny.. Just as ones on your side find Colbert or whatever other lib comedians or celebrities funny

To me there is 1 and only 1 mentionable low point.... Not hitting hard enough and specific enough on the current fiscal policies and not hitting hard enough and specific enough on what needs to be cut from government and how specifically some improved tax plan with more citizen/earner participation in it will operate

Yup... No matter how they try to spin it, Obama is going to own Tax increases if he doesn't let up on reckless entitlement spending.

That's just fine, since he got reelected by promising tax increases and deficit reduction all year long. It seems only republicans think it's political suicide anymore. You wanted deficit reduction you are going to get it, without sacred cows as it should be.

Was a bad year for republicans in the game of politics. Seems like a lot of people here treat it that way: a game. Lots of libs here spiked the ball on election night, and obviously as evidenced by this thread, are still doing it.

Saying the republicans had a bad year is like calling green grass green. Good observation. What otherwise scholarly observations can we expect next? Tortoises move slowly? Planes fly?

He already raised taxes come 2014 once. Whats another round? Let them tax the place into oblivion. Let the black market rise up and choke the fucking life out of the state.

so why did the Republicans cut taxes 2003 with an expiration date ? come January 2 it will be the Republicans raising everyones taxes, not the Democrats.

And republicans blame it all on a stupid electorate rather than their own shortcomings.
