ALL Government Policies & Candidates Need Reform

Our government and society is totally broken. The Public Policies advocated by BOTH Parties, AND the Thirds for that matter, conspicuously do not serve the Individual, the Nation, or Humanity very well.

We need to take a fresh and complete look at every single law and public policy that is in place as to whether such laws and public policies really serve our informed interests as individuals and as a nation. EVERYTHING needs to be on the table, including the Constitution, all of its Amendments, and every past decision of the Federal Courts since our Founding.

Then when we look at EVERYTHING from scratch, nothing can be off the table, absolutely nothing. We must look at all the salaries, pensions and benefits handed out by government at every level, and those of non-profits, and even private companies. Nothing must escape scrutiny if we are to have real reform.

We must look at Social Security and Unions, Medicare and Medicaid, Unemployment Compensation and Workers Compensation, the so-called "Practice" of Law and the "Practice" of Medicine, Debt, Credit and its collection, Schools, Churches and their tax exemptions, Government owned and operated Schools, the Military, the Police, and Prisons. In short, every single institution must be scrutinized as to in what way it is serving the nation and the individual, and what ways it is not, and the cost benefits in each instance.

There is a general consensus that the Nation as of now is a bloated pig, overfed, and underworked. The best things that need doing, it is not doing, and the worst things those it is doing.

Now, all these ideas of reform will be controversial, (reform always is) because we, like past nations, have become totally enslaved to every special interest, and interest, imaginable. These "Interests" have crowded out totally, the National Interest, and the Interest of the Individual. We even have nit-wit professors teaching students things like that the sum of all Special Interests equals the National Interest and thereby meets the needs of the Individual. Fact is, they absolutely do not. Every Special Interest, or Interest by its very nature is contrary to the National Interest, and contrary to the Interest of the Individual. This needs to be clearly recognized from the start.

No matter how painful this process is, it must be done or the Republic, and the dream it represents, is dead. Just as an old house must be remodeled from time to time, or it will fall down, so societies must be remodeled from time to time or they collapse.

Presently not one single candidate in this country advocates such an examination and audit of our society, but here and there there are encouraging signs that the idea is not dead. There are examples of reform, but they are very, very few indeed. We elect people who promise "change" all the time, but they never change anything, and when they do, it is something that is worse than the problem it was designed to solve. We can't go on this way. In a Republic, we the people can produce non-violent change, but it must work to actually produce that change or the nation will descend into violence to try to solve its problems. This is the problem and these are the choices.

The recent Major Cook lawsuit contains evidence proving that Obama has listed he lived at 149 different addresses and has used 39 different social security numbers!

The evidence contained in exhibit B shows that Barrak Hussein Obama might have used as many as 149 addresses and 39 Social Security Numbers prior to assuming office as president. The Social Security number most commonly used by Barrak Hussein Obama is the one issued by the state of Connecticut, the state where Barrak Hussein Obama never resided and that shows him to be 119 years old, and may have been one of his father's SS numbers.

This coupled with the fact that Mr Obama’s grandmother, Madeline Dunham was a volunteer at the Oahu Circuit Court Probate department and had access to the Social Security Numbers of the deceased, constitutes circumstantial evidence casting serious doubt on the legitimacy of Mr Obama and his claims of being born on U.S. territory.

Not at all. It is just one instance of the corruption of the nation and the rule of law that is pervasive throughout our society.

Another example is the "retirement" system in this country. Where employees conspire to loot the system. A typical cop, goes on the police force at say, 18, and "works" till 40 or so, where he, or she, promptly goes out on retirement at near full salary for the rest of his life, say to 90 this means we are going to pay this person for doing no work for most of their life, 50 years, on top of full benefits. This is outrageous robbery of the public, and should be stopped.

A Congress person can retire on near full salary after only "serving" as little as 3 years. I don't know the exact figures, but if you care you can find them, MAYBE.

Another example: You pay a co--payment for your medical needs, but a bum who is on Medicaid pays nothing, not a single penny. Everyone should pay something, no matter how small.

No, I am talking her on this thread about tens of thousands of instances of corruption and wrong doing on a vast scale, and I can go into every one of them if need be.

You are making the perfect the enemy of the good. First we hang the bad leaders then we see to the people's flaws. You are working from the wrong end of things which is a clever way of defending the Status Quo, where nothing changes.

Of course the real problem is the corruption of broad masses of the people, BUT this corruption has been encouraged, aided and abetted by leaders of Government, specifically Democrat government, at all levels. The people properly look to their leaders to lead them in a right direction, rather than being intent on corrupting them further.

Our leadership nationwide is defective, including our church and academic so-called leadership. So don't shift the burden of all this onto the "people." Yeah, Blame the People. We have think of it as a being the fault of those who "lead" the people, and execute them, after of course, a fair trial.

It is a vast cop out, and cover for those who want to protect the corrupt status quo. Something can be learned from the debacle of our so-called SS System, which is neither Social, nor a System. In the beginning it used states as the basis for issuing card numbers. Certainly, there were state considerations in number assignments and in other things.

Of course when we adopted the SS System we had a stronger state's rights system, and likely deference was given to that despite FDRs commie Fed lover advisors. After all, before the 1920s immigration was substantially a state function not a federal one.

Like in so many other things, power has been stripped from the states by one pretext and device or another, I think to our general detriment. Sometimes Fed intervention is required, like building the Interstates which the states likely could never have done.

But in most cases the Feds have done a worse job, glaringly in education, for example, in labor relations, and a bunch of other areas. Yes, to the Fed going to the moon, but not so in much else. If the Fed used their power properly then it would be different, but we have just seen no evidence of that.

We either need to somehow (by a really conservative reform government) get a very high level of performance from the Fed, OR we need to devolve a whole bunch of stuff back to the States and to the private sector. This oil spill is likely a case in point. Exactly how much authority have the states retained regarding safety off shore. probably about none.

Civil Service, among other sacred cows, has turned out to be a bad investment. It is neither Civil nor of much Service and should be abolished along with unions in any job other than private profit making corporations. Unions exist to help workers get a share of the profits, but in government and non-profits there are NO profits to share and hence there should be NO unions at all allowed.

There are a lot of reasonable Liberals trapped in the Democrat Party that I could agree with on many things. However, Liberal Democrats go far beyond what you and I would agree with, and have seized power and misused it way beyond what is good for us and all living things.

They have dis-empowered the family, the churches, private education, the private practice of medicine, and the employers excessively and taken that power unto themselves.

The problem is how we can have GOOD government, not just government. I have suggestions, one of which is the dis-empowering of ALL special interests, and ALL interests as well. There is only one interest as Washington said best, "The National Interest," or put another way, the People's Interest.

We need a party and politicians that can appeal to good Liberals, and to the best Conservatives, like myself. I believe our best bet is a revitalized Republican Party, and NOT the Democrat Party. We gave them power and they have totally blown it. All politicians are our employees and must be constantly watched, supervised, and controlled, or they will do wrong every single time. Right now, I can't think of one good Congressperson, not one, and that is very sad and dangerous.

You are arguing in circles. You assume people can become virtuous, without the teaching and leadership of virtuous leadership, and that is just not possible.

They must have virtuous leadership and virtuous laws in order to become virtuous. Virtuous people are virtuous because they have the guidance of virtuous laws. You do not get virtuous laws from from virtuous people. It is the other way around. Good law makes for good people. Bad law makes bad people. To think otherwise is to live in a fantasy world, not a real world. Our Founders were virtuous, so they made for us virtuous laws and we became a more virtuous people thereby.

Abolish civil service. So you would have all government jobs filled by political appointments?
Abolish labor unions. Collective bargaining would be forbidden?
