Busting unions is about YOU working for less money = monster corporate profits!!

ALEC is not a lobby; it is not a front group. It is much more powerful than that.

Through the corporate-funded American Legislative Exchange Council, global corporations and state politicians vote behind closed doors to try to rewrite state laws that govern your rights.

These so-called "model bills" reach into almost every area of American life and often directly benefit huge corporations.

In ALEC's own words, corporations have "a VOICE and a VOTE" on specific changes to the law that are then proposed in your state. DO YOU

Republicans feel the country would be in better hands if ruled by corporations.

Republicans feel the country would be in better hands if ruled by corporations.

Exactly. And their policies tell us that.

No minimum wage.
Deregulation.
No corporate salary caps.
No child labor laws.
No limits on working hours.
No restrictions on working conditions.
No unions.
No limits on campaign contributions.
Limited government.
All while we give tax cuts to the rich.

Union membership is at it's lowest level since unions first started and the membership levels are dropping. More and more states are becoming right to work and more businesses are moving to right to work states. The unions, no matter how good they have done at one time, are now toxic. They have become exactly what they were fighting against.

This was welcome news back in May:

Wal-Mart latest to leave conservative advocacy group ALEC - Los Angeles Times
Wal-Mart Stores Inc. dumped its membership in conservative advocacy group ALEC ahead of what is expected to be a contentious annual shareholders meeting.

The American Legislative Exchange Council, known for its role-shaping controversial legislation, has been hemorrhaging members this spring. Major companies such as Coca Cola Co., McDonald’s Corp., Amazon.com Inc., Kraft Foods Inc. and more have fled amid heavy activist pressure.
