Alabama, Mississippi?

I don't hate anyone, I just like Santorum better. Especially because the GOP is all about Romney and we can't trust them anymore than we can Obama and the Socialists.
We need Conservatism back to fix our Country. I'm not a religious guy but I do understand values and that's what I think we need along with smaller Government, weaker Unions and non Anti Business Politicians.

Santorum projected winner in both Mississippi and Alabama.

As predicted, Romney blown out, two third place finishes.

Romney wins tonight no matter what happens in Mississippi or Alabama. He will be taking home at least 30-35% of the delegates.

Here is the math. Connecticut, Maryland, Delaware, California, New York, New Jersey, Utah- are winner take all states- he has huge leads in all of those states. Romney needs to win less than a third of the rest and he has enough to win the nomination. Sorry Romney haters...

Yes, Romney does well in the liberal states...he's right at home there.

Better get used to him, he's most likely going to be the next president.

Drudge just pulled down "Romney set to win Mississippi..." Headline as Santorum leads both states so far.

This is reminding me of when the DNC wanted Hillary to be our nominee but Obama had the numbers and they couldn't deny him. It was clear that Obama was the people's choice.

This is showing that true conservatives want Santorum. They do not like Romney. If the GOP gives it to Romney anyways, I think it will cost them the 2012 election.

I'm beginning to suspect the GOP don't expect to win the President. They are more focused on state houses and governors. They have been able to get a lot more done on a state level anyways. And there is just no way anyone is going to beat Obama.

Going to be the next also ran.

The next primaries would be interesting if Gingrich would leave the race. There comes a time when ego has to take a back seat to what is best for the country. Splitting those delegates between Santorum and Gingrich does not help make the race meaningful if Romney clearly is not the people's choice, which has apparently been demonstrated.

I just saw the political cartoon that sums up your argument best...it was Romney with his arms raised in the air with the caption "resign yourselves"...:doubt:

Black vote in GOP primaries so low it's 'not available'

Black vote in GOP primaries so low it's 'not available'

A column from The Nation took a look into GOP primary exit polls and the absence of black voter participation. In Georgia, Michigan, Florida and South Carolina where black populations are higher than the national level, black voters are turning out for the GOP contests in numbers so low that pollsters can barely measure it.

The above may not matter but does say something about the Republican Party as well as the Tea Party Republicans ... Alabama and Mississippi are the same.

When I saw the Politico and NYT news updates in my Outlook inbox with the news t hat Sanatorium won both states I just laughed and grinned to myself.

I LOVE IT!!! :clap2:

Just how does Romney appear MORE conservative while campaigning in more liberal states?

I resent someone who thinks he's so rich he cannot be denied.

It's a consequence of Citizen's United. Wheeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every damn time Santorum starts to get a shot at gaining momentum in this race (Michigan, Ohio, etc) Romney and his Super PAC's step in and massively outspend Santorum allowing Mitt to pull off a victory. It isn't just money. Thanks to Citizen's Mitt has an almost unstoppable level of organization and an almost frightening level of ability to funnel that money into negative ads.

Get used to this. Obama is going to be just as well funded, if not better funded, as Romney in the General. And if you think Obama is going to hesitate to play the game dirty or use Citizen's to it's full advantage, you're flat crazy. This is going to be a very brutal and expensive campaign. I'm preparing for the worst one I've seen in my life time.

If you look closely at Romney's life, he is the definition of conservative. But the GOP has moved so far to the right that even Reagan would not get the nomination.

Now look at Newt. Zero family values and he was forced to resign in 1999 among ethic scandles. Yet the GOP consider him the more conservative candidate.:cuckoo:

Poor Republicans, thinking they can pick their own nominee.

Willard Mitt Romney has been hand picked by the rich and corporate, and they will still shove the flip flopper down your throats.

Welcome to the world of Citizens United, Republicans.

Well said and you are right. But do the people like this negative approach? I for one do not. I want to see past performances speak for themselves. Romney can outspend and has the orgsanization to out maneuver other candidates, but I would rather have a candidate speak for himself, not his people or his checkbook.

Tonight, Romney declared the was Santorum's "desperate end" to his campaign. Hardly. Although he was outspent 10 to 1, with negative ads hitting him hard, Santorum took both states. This is what I want to see. The people speaking.

And, as for Obama, I don't deny it will be dirty. But so is his record. Let that speak loudly. And it will.

The Democrats picked their own nominee in 2008 and look at what we got!

IMO, the only hope of defeating Obama now is for Santorum to battle Romney to the convention.

The GOP used to be a three legged stool, but now it is a four legged chair.

We need a candidate that appeals to the entire party, not just the fiscal conservatives our just the social conservatives or just the libertarians...or just the defense hawks for that matter.

Not Jeb Bush, not Chris Christie, not Rand Paul, not Sarah Palin.

So who?

Yes, I feel much more comfortable voting for a candidate who stands behind his core convictions, even when it could cost him the nomination, than a candidate whose only conviction is to regurgitate any position that he believes will win him the nomination.

I'm old fashion that way.

Seems a lot of other folks are too.
