The link cited, and others I found on Google, fail to find textual support for the claim that Sharpton's word "they" refers to Republicans. Indeed, the link provided makes it seem as though "they" refers to Sharpton's words "some of the right-wing".

It does sound inappropriate, but I really don't know if that's because Sharpton was saying something mean (certainly possible) or whether it is because some propagandist truncated his words to defame him (which seems all but certain). It's frustrating to find so many websites that haven't bothered to find any support for the claim that "they" refers to Republicans. Even if it did, that does not support the headline, which claims that Sharpton "calls" Republicans Nazis. In fact he analogizes "them" (whoever that is) to Nazis in a certain way.

In the 60's, Conservatives fled the Democratic Party and swelled the ranks of the Republican Party. They forced out the blacks who joined the Democratic Party. This is why history is important. Funny, conservatives want to take credit for things Republicans did BEFORE they took over the Party. Kind of like taking credit for getting Bin Laden, the guy the let go.

That is SO DAMN TRUE! The conservatives were on the opposing side during the Civil Rights movement, see limbag's hero William F. Buckley and his stance and National Review's stance .

Of course, as an independent non-partisan, I haven't met too many Democrats I could get along with, and that has gotten worse, since Obama-zombies took over.

Al needs to diss all the stupid pubs, who won't admit to global warming, AGW, or dangers, posed by continued neglect, of re-greening. But Al doesn't get'r'done, since he's a Democrat, and Al really just gets along with pubs, or not? There is a faction of people who are actually WORSE than liberals....Fence sitting moderates who often claim they hold no party allegiance or ideological beliefs....
