RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Al-Dhamir Foundation revealed a number of egregious violations of Palestinian law, carried out by the PA security apparatus during the recent campaign of arrests in the occupied West Bank.
The organization called on the security services in the West Bank to respect law and the Palestinian society, and to put an end to the political oppression and to respect individual and collective freedom.
In its statement, the Foundation called upon the Palestinian government in Ramallah to fully comply with the law and stop political arrests, reminding of the ruling of the Palestinian Supreme Court of Justice on 20 February 1999, which considers political detention illegal, and demands all executive bodies to respect the Courts ruling and refrain from practicing political detention.
