Ahmadinejad is counting on Obama to ruin the US

Ahmadinejad is a very good leader and a smart guy.

He has a astute grasp of world politics.

It would be a great if an American president set down with him in person and listened to his veiws.

Hey, what could it hurt?

yeah, they should set down together with jethro clampett and do some cyphering.

Iran histoically has been a friend of the United States.

Ahmadinejad would like to extend the hand of cooperation.

But, America has maintained a very bellicose attitude toward any diplomatic relations with Iran.

According to Forbes:

"Ahmadinejad and his advisers believe they have already won and point to Obama's conciliatory position as evidence.

They also think that Obama will win.

"Very soon," Ahmadinejad told the Ramadan meeting in New York, "we shall witness monumental changes in the world. America has suffered repeated defeats in all domains and is reaching the end of the road."

"Pro-reform groups in Tehran regard Obama's position as an endorsement of Ahmadinejad's claim that the Western powers in general and the U.S. in particular are "sunset" powers, while Islam represents the "sunrise" power of the future."

"At the same time, Obama legitimizes Ahmadinejad, who faces re-election in June 2009. Strengthened by what he presents as an American retreat, Ahmadinejad would portray his critics as cowards or traitors--this at a time when more and more voices are raised inside Iran urging him to stop his murderous rants and comply with the U.N. resolutions.

The latest calls in that direction have come from Ayatollah Abdallah Nuri, the leading pro-reform figure likely to challenge Ahmadinejad in next year's presidential election. It has also been endorsed by Shirin Ebadi, the Iranian Nobel Peace laureate, and Mostafa Tajzadeh, a leader of the Pro-Reform Movement in Tehran. Statements by independent trade unions have also called on Ahmadinejad to meet the preconditions set by the U.N. in order to stop further economic hardship in Iran."

Hey, you guys are the ones who are always squawking that people outside of America hate us. You crave their love.

Well this guy loves Obama, and wants him to win.

I'd think that would be win/win for a Dem. At long last, the approval of a nation which has always hated us!

actually, Iran hasn't always hated us Allie. Do some research dear.

Why would he like Obama? Obama has said he will do whatever it takes to make sure Iran doesn't get the bomb. On his website, he said if Iran stops meddling in Iraq and dismantles its nuke program, he will give Iran the "possible promise" he won't seek regime change there. so if Iran says to the US, if America stops meddling in Iraq, I will give the possible promise I won't seek regime change in America.......

you can figure out America's response..

Amina What's His Name isn't the real power in Iran. It's the Mullah Guys. He's sort of like the relationship between Sarah and John. Not sure which one is in charge.

Didn't we back the Shah of Iran way back when and then the whole thing just went to hell since then and Reagan bargained with them to keep the hostages until he was elected or something like and now Jimmy Carter goes around building houses while 41 runs one of the largest weapons sales in the world and the other one says Obama isn't as good as my wife but I will back him anyway?

Ok, you are officially a couple of sandwiches short of a picnic. You have a kangaroo loose in the top paddock...

Neocon whackjobs like you THRIVE on the misconception that YOU think people outside of America hate you. US liberals are very well liked worldwide..

Fuck you are beyond stupid....seriously (unless the above comment was tongue in cheek, in which case...whatever! )

Our fall as a world power doesnt have anything to do with Obama but is related to our economic problems. You didnt need this guy to point this out, common sense could have done that for you. We are in big trouble as a country due to the economy which dictates how powerful we truly are.

It's true that Ahmadinejad is not the highest ranking official in Iran, nor is he the commander-in-chief of the Iranian armed forces. The legitimate power in Iran is the Supreme Leader, that being the Ayatollah Ali Khameini.

It is also true that the mullahs and imams would not rule Iran, and Iran would not pose any sort of threat, had the U.S. not assisted in the overthrow of the democratically elected Prime Minister Mossadeq, and the installation of the brutal Shah, which set the stage for the Iranian Revolution and power grab by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

And yes, every President is a corrupt, villainous bastard. ;)

Sounds more like to me Ahmadinejad believes that Bush ALREADY RUINED the USA, frankly.

Anyway, what is wrong with sitting down and talking to the dude. Too many conservative whackjobs think it is a sign of weakness, or everybody has to do it their way or no way. There is no compromise with them, that is why they always fuck things up...royally...
