AGW Believer AND Skeptic!!!

When presented with a petition to ban di-hydrogen monoxide, 80% of people sign it. ALL the warmers sign it. OldCrocks would.

It shows the complete ignorance of science and chemistry of the general public, and how appeal to emotions and straw man arguments, and junk science can get them to believe anything.

For, just like they believed "rain follows the plow" and "the new ice age," they believe CO2 is warming the planet, and they sign the petition to ban.....

WATER.

Because di-hydrogen monoxide sounds really really BAD.

Good lord, what a stupid lie to post? But in keeping with the lack of character that is so present in your posts.

It was 86% actually:

In 1997, Nathan Zohner, a 14-year-old junior high student at Eagle Rock Junior High School in Idaho Falls, Idaho, gathered 43 votes to ban the chemical, out of 50 people surveyed among his classmates. Zohner received the first prize at Greater Idaho Falls Science Fair for analysis of the results of his survey.[4] In recognition of his experiment, journalist James K. Glassman coined the term "Zohnerism" to refer to "the use of a true fact to lead a scientifically and mathematically ignorant public to a false conclusion."[11]

The bigger hoax still continues....

What the hell would you expect of high school students in the very conservative state of Idaho? Had you polled them on evolution, they would undoubtedly state that Darwin said men descended from monkeys.

A brief look at Antarctic sea ice

While our analysis focuses on Arctic sea ice, we note that Antarctic sea ice has reached its summer minimum extent for the year, at 2.87 million square kilometers (1.11 million square miles). This was 88,500 square kilometers above the 1979 to 2000 average minimum. Through the austral summer, the total extent of sea ice surrounding the Antarctic continent has remained within two standard deviations of the 1979 to 2000 average.

Sea ice extent in the Antarctic has been unusually high in recent years, both in summer and winter. Overall, the Antarctic is showing small positive trends in total extent. For example, the trend in February extent is now +3.1% per decade. These overall positive trends may seem counterintuitive in light of what is happening in the Arctic. Our Frequently Asked Questions section briefly explains the general differences between the two polar environments. A recent report (Turner, et. al., 2009) suggests that the ozone hole has resulted in changes in atmospheric circulation leading to cooling and increasing sea ice extents over much of the Antarctic region.

Well, if high school students are not the ones to view as being duped, how about adults at a conservationist rally. Hundreds signed the petition to ban Di Hydrogen monoxide including the organizer fo the Rally.

These are the folks leading the drive to ban CO2.

I wonder if they know what CO2 is...

The claims you make about its contents are without context and misleading... Look very closely at it... Notice that in the year prior to to 2010 there was a change? Then the year before that, and so on and so forth. It changed up and down back and forth....

But most troubling... Notice the final year with any measurement... Its 2010... So in 3 months they have been able to tell us that the sea ice is contracting now... Wow shocking after winter? Ae you mad? LOL

Oldrocks lilkes to pad his posts with crap. Make sure you check it and look it over before you accept it. Usually its BS like this chart that says nothing...

Here's why! Svensmark's theory explains arctic - antarctic ice coverage dichotomy - sci.physics | Google Groups

How it hiding the data part of science, stonewalling FOIA requests? Hiding the decline, all that rot?
------------------------------

How is it part? It's a VERY IMPORTANT part. How can you tell if humans are having an effect, if you don't "hide" data from other sources? I guess it's the word. I would have preferred they used the term "subtracted out". That isn't an example of fraud, but everyday scientific practice. If the sun cycle is going through a cooling phase, you'd have to "hide the decline" in order to see what's left, presumably the effect of man, barring other possibilities.

Bullshit - the term is "ISOLATE" Variables. Everyone in climate change knows this term. NO ONE in science uses "hide data" to mean "Isolate Variables"
Except to the AGW crowd who are apparently exempt from the scientific method.

Gslack, you are one really ignorant son of a bitch.

That is a graph of the anomaly. It compares the amount of ice to what is the average for that date. Minus is less, positive is more. And the anomalies have be mostly positive for the Antarctic Sea Ice until very recently. But they have stayed within two standard deviations for most of the past years.

The Arctic Ice, on the other hand, has for most of the past 5 years been well outside of two standard deviations in the minus territory until this March. As of now, it is actually up to the average for the last 30 years.

First dumazz, you are the one following a hokey religion not me... So if there is an ignorant SOB here its you...

Second, you are wrong about what I said...

The chart tracks anomalies... What anomalies? We don't know that from the chart, we also don't know what constitutes an anomaly. So without pertinent information to give the chart meaning and context, to try and make any claims to anything about it other than the obvious, is impossible.

Now dumazz, if you want to play science wiz, then learn something about science first.
