Afghanistan is similar to Korea in the coverage (or lack of it) by the media because the media seldom criticizes a democrat administration. They might call this one "the forgotten war" also. Afghanistan is more like VietNam in the tactics and strategy (or lack of it). Here we go again trying to wear down a country that has been fighting for a thousand years and we have a cowardly administration who refuses to allow the Military to do it's job. The hypocrisy is stunning in that we authorized NATO to bomb the snot out of Libyan civilians to insure the victory of the Muslim Brotherhood but American Troops can't even call in an artillery strike in Afghanistan for fear they will be charged with murder if a civilian is killed.
