I think it served its purpose and it's time to abolish it.

No it should not stop as affirmative action has done little to harm whites and has benefitted few blacks, getting rid of it isn't going to fix a still broken system.

With a black man being elected to the highest office in the country, I think the time saying they are being held back due to race is OVER!!!!! And the time is NOW!!!!!

an african american is more likely to pass the bar and finish law if they go to a state school where affirmative action is not much of an issue. They are also more likely to fail if they attend a private college.

So racism and discrimination all of the sudden disappeared when Obama got elected? The Bass thinks not. Even before Obama got elected people were saying AA should be ended because it served its purpose....NOT!

the current housing market is another example of affirmative action hurting minorities instead of helping them. Look at the area with the most forclosures then take into fact that during the Clinton and Bush they increased the numbers of minorities getting into home loans through companies like Frannie Mae.
