a very pc guy and wife adopted an oriental baby. The assumed the kid was Chinese, and they raised him in a Chinese environment. Up until the kid was 17, when he bothered to look at his paperwork. His birth parents were named Kim and Park. Koreans. The pc guy was bothered by this.
For me, I am glad he adopted. and made an effort to raise him in his culture. so he got it wrong. The difference between Chinese and Korean is like the difference between lederhosen and berets in european cultures. What counts is he was raised in a loving environment. And it sounds like he got that.
