Add Geo Pataki to the long list of R candidates

Good. The broader the field, the better the candidate on the back end. Steel sharpens steel. Ron Paul never stood a chance, but his staying in the race caused other candidates to consider different approaches and change their stance. When you have only one elitist candidate with 30 years of heavy baggage awaiting coronation who won't speak to the press, you have all your eggs in one basket.......and that isn't a good place to be. the 2014 election results (all excuses and denials aside) should have been a wake up call. There are 31 Republican governors and 31 Republican controlled state legislatures as well as both houses of the US Congress being Republican controlled. There was a message in there that Democrats still haven't accepted. But go ahead, run your two elderly, white candidates with their tired old ideas. Sanders doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell. Neither does Hillary, but she will do better because Democrats will vote for her because of her gender. They already proved that by voting on race. O'Malley? He has about as much name recognition as Fiorina.

Everyone wants a ground war but everyone that wants that has no clue as to how that would work. They think that ISIS would line up in some battle line so that our troops could just wipe them out. They do not understand that ISIS would hide among all other Iraqis and Syrians and be impossible to pick out. It would be guerrilla warfare at its best. Sure we would wipe them out eventually, but we would kill a lot of innocent people in the process, and we would lose a lot of our own. And once we were done, we would have a bunch of Muslims who were not grateful but who hated us instead.

Correct.

In fact, the problem cannot be addressed with conventional military tactics; once American ground forces depart the Region the terrorists will simply reconstitute and continue the killing – Americans would have once again fought in a pointless ME conflict, their deaths devoid of meaning.
