ACORN, Soros Linked to Franken Vote Grab

Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie, who orchestrated the recount that gave Democratic challenger Al Franken a lead some six weeks after incumbent GOP Sen. Norm Coleman appeared to win by 725 votes on Election Day, has extensive ties to both the ACORN organization now under federal investigation for vote fraud, and to MoveOn.org ultra-liberal kingmaker George Soros.

In 2006, ACORN endorsed Ritchie in his bid to become secretary of state, and Ritchie also received a campaign contribution that year from Soros.

Indeed, Ritchie has credited his own political career in large part to an obscure, Soros-funded group called the Secretary of State Project (SoS), whose express purpose is to seed state election bureaucracies nationwide with partisan activists -- Ritchie among them -- who are strategically positioned to influence the outcome of close recounts like the one now underway in Minnesota.

The SoS Web site lauds Ritchie as “arguably the most progressive secretary of state in America,” and states: “Thanks to SoS Project donors, Minnesota’s Mark Ritchie – a true champion for Democracy – was able to defeat a two-term incumbent Republican by less than 5 points. We helped close the gap and make the difference with cable television ads targeting women and seniors.”

Acorn registered people to vote,if people voted illegally it is the election boards fault not Acorn. Acorn isn't the one on election day checking to make sure people are who they registered as or the ones checking if people can even legally vote. But go right ahead and keep blaming Acorn for all your problems. And I guess Ole Al did a shitting job at voter fraud since he lost!

Easy enough to check if you doubt it.

Frankly after Florida 2000 I'm not surprised that the left is looking to elect some sec of state. I be more surprised if they weren't.

Acorn doesn't register voters, They register one voter 57 times and expect him to vote Democrap 57 times. That is why they are being investigate or have been investigatedd for voter fraud dozens of times since their creation.

They are being investigated for registration fraud. You can register someone to vote but it is up to the state election board to make sure they don't vote 57 times. If someone votes as Mickey Mouse or even is allowed to be officially registered to vote as Mickey Mouse then it is the state election board that is commiting voter fraud!

It isn't legal for them to do it Luissa. It isn't legal for you to do it. Basically they simply inundate the Voter registration office with so many names mostly fraudulent that there is no way in hell they can possibly do more than a cursory check of them all.

But then you probably think its the cops fault when some idiot stoked to the gills on PCP starts believing he's bullet Proof and some poor cop has to shoot him to keep him from hurting some third party who inadvertently crossed the freak's path while he was looking for potential targets.

As you people said in 2000, get over it. You have lost. The last eight years have demonstrated the poverty of your philosophy. The American People have had enough of the lies and corruption of the 'Conservatives' of the Cheney and Bush brand.

I know my voter registration office added more people this year and funding to solve the problem of more registration!
And as for your last statment don't assume anything, I have an uncle who was shot by a guy who was high off of meth pretty much in the line of duty. Along with a Grandfather who was a sheriff and an uncle who was state patrol then a US Marshall.
Like I said before they didnot commit voter fraud, they commited registration fraud and if your country doesn't do anything to stop them from voting then that is their problem. ANd if you vote to many times then you are commiting voter fraud. Most of the false names they registered never even voted, it was a way to meet their quota!

and you didnt listen then, so why should we listen to you now?
looks like we have at least another 8 years worth of bitching about it and counting, since you guys are STILL bitching about 2000 and 2004

Well Old Rocks, I'm not a Bush or Cheney fan, so I won't pretend to defend them, just to rattle your old rocks some. However, if you wanted to be honest when making the comment you did, instead of just sounding like a partisan hack, then you would have pointed out that Bush and Cheney did not honor their conservative base and took their entire party off course and misguided idiots in the house and senate (at least a few of them) followed lock step with them. So as you are ranting and pounding your chest, be assured you are not addressing real conservatism!

Some kids registered Mickey Mouse and other false characters in order to justify their pay. For gosh sakes, if Mickey, Tinker Bell or Popeye show up to vote, you think the election officials won't catch that? If they didn't, they deserve to be duped.

Jim they used a whole lot of other bogus names that weren't nearly so obvious as well. That is illegal pure and simple if you don't like it tough.
