I don't care if people looked down upon irish and italian immigrants. They did not drastically change the racial composition of the nation so their admission can be regarded as mentally sane.

The american people needs to be "bombarded" with information about the 1952 Immigration Act and (specially) the 1965 Imigration Act so that they stop barking up the wrong tree accusing Mexico of something the country didn't do, didn't have any participation or say in the matter.

They need to understand that the decision to destroy the ethnic makeup of America through legal immigration and tolerance towards illegal immigration was taken by their own sovereign government 40, 50 years ago.

I will look for the link - but 47% of mexicans in Mexico would like for the USA to take control of Mexico - and this was way before this war with the cartels and the killings. I would guess that now the percentage is higher. Therein is the proof of its ineptness. That the USA wanted diversity is of no consequence. But the USA has every right to say who comes here and who does not! Yes, they can do something to stop this influx but what holds them back is its fear that Mexico will be taken over by a dictatorship being in such close proximity to the USA. This country does not need that problem. So this country will continue to bend over backwards to help them keep their head above water in every aspect even if it it done 'under the cloak of darkness'.

It is a matter of time before Mexico asks the U.S. to help them with the drug cartel war if they are not already in there and I suspect that they are. therefore, this country walks on eggs when it comes to our INEPT neighbor. It is ludicrous for Jose to say the Mexico had no say in this 1952 & 1965 Act - and why should Mexico interfere in the internal affairs of this country??? Interesting statistic about the number of Mexicans who may put up with US rule.

There are times when I feel the world and Mexicans would be better off if Mexico was annexed. Also I feel imposing US minimum wage laws and EPA standards on Mexico would be a good slap in the face to Tyson Chicken and the countries which are down south taking advantage of the third world.

I hope ALL states do the same thing! There's been a FEDERAL law for the same thing, but our leaders just don't seem to care and won't enforce it. I don't see how they can file a lawsuit for this when it's actually a Federal law and should be followed anyway!

It's not a "Federal law", it's a "Federal Power" that's been given to Congress. Congress has the power over immigration, NOT THE STATES.

Add in..that illegal immigration has been going DOWN under President Obama.
