The American Civil Liberties Union teamed up with the SEIU and a few other interested groups to sue the Michigan Secretary of State, Ruth Johnson, over her addition of a check box to ballot applications, asking voters to confirm they are U.S. citizens who legally have the right to vote. ACLU’s Michigan executive director, Kary Moss, described this as a “cynical voter suppression tactic.”

No, this is not a joke or satire. The ACLU actually thinks a check box asking voters to confirm that they’re legally entitled to vote constitutes “suppression.” The mad scramble to protect vote fraud operations had degenerated into this level of absolute lunacy. Devoid of anything approaching a logical argument, vote fraud defenders are down to describing a simple “Yes or No” question on ballot applications as a “roadblock” that will “confuse” and “intimidate” minority voters


If they are that confused and intimidated by a "check box" then they shouldn't be voting in the first place.

Everyone supports free speech, until it’s free speech aimed at them. And suddenly the ACLU, an organization that is perfectly okay with turning over classified information to terrorists that can get Americans killed, draws the line at… being embarrassed in the press.

But you can see where the ACLU is coming from. If wealthy liberals stop giving it money, it won’t exist.

Did you know that the clerical and other support staff for the American Civil Liberties Union is, well, unionized? Well, they are and that is causing ACLU executive director Anthony Romero some serious heartburn.

Wait. Suddenly the ACLU sounds like Mitt Romney. But that’s how it is when your ox is the one being gored.

In the July 24 piece, the Voice reported that the civil rights group was asking for “unprecedented” givebacks from its legal assistants, receptionists, bookkeepers, accounting assistants and mail clerks.

All this while executives at the company got a combined $100,000 pay raise in 2012, enough to support an 8 percent bump in salaries for all union worker salaries.

Those filthy capitalist non-profit lefty pigs.

If the ACLU ever gets A CLUE and defends the 2nd Amendment with the same amount of enthusiasm they defend every sort of perversion on earth, they just might become something worthy of respect.
