President Barack Obama will deliver the Memorial Day address at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery’s 11th Annual Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 31, 2010. A prelude to the official ceremony will begin at 10:30 a.m. The official ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m. All Memorial Day activities will be held at the main flag pole within the cemetery.

President Obama first spoke during the Memorial Day Event back in 2005.

The Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery currently holds over 20,000 gravestones from Veterans of military service, men and woman in all branches and from the Civil War through the Iraq War. The cemetery is over 900 acres with 400,000 sites.
