The man arrested, born in 1982 in La Tronche near Grenoble (Isère) and living near La Mure, would be "unfavorably known to the police", especially for car thefts, police sources said.

Julien Ravier, mayor of the 11th and 12th arrondissements, told BFMTV that the deceased victim was waiting alone at the bus stop.
The vehicle in question was, a few minutes later, immobilized by the police on the Old Port, and the anti-criminality brigade carried out the arrest of the driver.
