I have a hunch the GOP is suddenly doing an about-face on climate change for a couple reasons 1. Because denying it in two years will look like they still believe the earth is flat. and 2. They're going to use it to hoodwink car consumers into thinking "more emissions standards in the tail pipe of boxy huge clunky under-powered cars and trucks will save the environment". Remember people, it's how much fuel you're burning to get from A to B that is increasing emissions; not the cars that get slightly lower scores on their tailpipe emissions that could get as much as 60-80mpg or more if restrictions on US patents "for national security reasons" were lifted...

For that matter, Rick Perry's state could be a leading producer of cogenerated solar thermal/oil-waste (natural gas) energy. Could be Texas' new economic boon.

This chart is made from data taken by scientists studying deep ice in Antarctica. It starts a little more than 400 million years ago. It shows estimated global temperatures, based on the best available data, compared to the temperatures we have nowadays.

Note the pattern.

Temperatures started around where they are today. Then they dropped rapidly, not the few tenths of a degree the present hysterics are telling us about, but going down 4 to 8 degrees C. And they stayed there for more than 60,000 years.

Then they rose suddenly, as much as 10 degrees C, but quickly dropped back down to the lower levels, and stayed low for another 80,000 years.

Then they rose again for a short time, but dropped back down and mostly stayed low for another 100,000 years.

Then they rose again briefly, but dropped back down and stayed low yet again for another 100,000 years.

Then they rose again, and have stayed for a brief period... which brings us to the present day.

Note that this repeated cycle, has happened over and over, without the hand of man going anywhere near the planet in any significant way. Would anyone like to support the idea that those greedy, wasteful humans were burning too much oil, a hundred thousand years ago when the previous peak occured? Maybe driving too many prehistoric SUVs two hundred thousand years ago? Maybe a jurassic Al Gore was chartering huge jets all over the world 300,000 years ago, warning his fellow humans back then about the dangers of THAT period of "global warming"?

Al Gore and the rest of his junk-science salesmen want us to believe that we will see temperatures getting warmer from where they are, with no end in sight. And he proposes massive government expenditures, massive programs, and huge government restrictions and regulations on everything we do, to try to stop temperatures from warming in the future.

But based on previous patterns, where do YOU expect temperatures to go from here?

I think that most critics of Climate Change Theory is based on WHY is the climate Changing, not if it is changing.

It has ALWAYS changed and we have survived it. We human beings can adapt to our changing environment and I highly doubt we influence it more than the Sun itself.

Like I was saying on the previous page, Rick Perry should be the first to volunteer his sun-soaked HUGE state to produce solar thermal cogenerated energy on a massive scale. Texas would be charging energy customers the same rate and not having to pay for fuel for around 200-300 days a year...or more! Go Texas!

Here's a map of solar radiation inundation in the US. Ignore the "photovoltaic" in the title. It applies also to solar thermal power. Just look at Texas Mr. Perry! With oil as your backup, how many days a year can Texas produce power for other states and countries on free fuel while charging the same as if they were burning oil or coal? Sheesh. No more worries for Texas financially!

Trump needs to figure out why we're buying fuel from Canada when we should be SELLING her electricity instead, falling all over the West from the sky, literally..

So how about instead of piping oil down from Canada, we pipe solar thermal energy UP to Canada so they can power up electric cars we sell them? C'mon Mr. Trump. Who do you want to profit?
