Reagan is that odd gawd, worshiped from afar, worshiped for magic and praised for something he didn't even do. He raised taxes how many times? And The S&L scandal, while smaller than the Clinton/Bush crash, was the biggest in its time. If the republicans once again gain power they may actually outdo even these momentous failures, fallacies of the imagination, that have real consequences.
