A Ticket For Rush!

Recently, a number of interesting things happened. First, Rush Limbaugh said on his radio show that if the Healthcare Reform Bill passed, he would go to Costa Rica. Second, the Healthcare Reform Bill passed. As you can imagine, this has made a number of people very excited. We are among that number. We want to make sure that Rush is able to make good on his promise, and so we've made this website.

Here's how this is going to work:

1. We're accepting 1 dollar PayPal donations to buy Rush a one-way ticket to Costa Rica. We are currently accepting donations.

2. At the end of the donation period*, we will attempt to personally contact Rush, and offer to buy him a first-class plane ticket from Palm Beach International Airport to San Jose International Airport, Costa Rica.

3. If Rush does get cold feet**, and refuses to move to Costa Rica, we will instead donate all of the money to the Planned Parenthood Action Center.

4. Additionally, if we make more money than the cost of a ticket, or if we don't make enough money for a ticket, everything will still go to Planned Parenthood.

He said he would go there to deal with elective surgery.

context was an insurance company was offering a deal where they would fly you to costa rica for surgeries, and he said he would use the service.

He was making fun of the medical tourism thing that happens all the time with folks who have the money. If you have a checkbook, you go to the head of the line in other countries health systems. Non english don't have to deal with National health waits in England, Americans with cash on hand don't have to deal with single payer in Canada. They get service right away, while Canadians wait a year. People with funds stuck in socialist systems cross borders frequently.
Remember the story about the Palins going to Canada for care recently? In Canada, they are Americans with cash, in Alaska, they are indians stuck in the Indian Health Service. (US indians have had socialist medical care for years and years. They also have the lowest life expectancy in the US. )

Costa Rica has good docs at good prices. Were I to have an elective medical deal, I would fly there myself.

Here is what was ACTUALLY said, dipshits:

"If the health care bill passes, where would you go for health care yourself?" a caller asked Limbaugh on his radio show Tuesday.

"I’ll just tell you this, if this passes and it’s five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented — I am leaving the country. I’ll go to Costa Rica," Limbaugh replied.

You can "doubt it," but the audio link speaks for itself, you bumbling stumble-fucks.





And it is not entirely clear that what Rush was saying was that if it passes he's moving. It SOUNDS like he was answering the question and saying he might go to Costa Rica for health care.

And in either event, he QUALIFIED it with the matter of timing -- that is -- WHEN it actually takes effect. And that's no time soon.

You bumbling libs are a bunch of screw-ups on this one.
