i find these two sets of maps very interesting....

how america voted in 08

unemployment

state budget deficits

forclosures

not sure what it means ....

but interesting none the less

I'm not sure it means anything.

For example, Michigan has the highest rate of unemployment. They voted democrat.

They likely would have voted democrat whether the economy was good or bad.

Same goes for Oregon.

What you would have to look at would be those states that were battlegrounds or flipped, like IN and NC.
