[And to think Mr Santilli was almost fired for this. You could tell by Rick's meek and mild demeanor and the way he parsed his words in the weeks afterwards, somebody in the GE/NBC/CNBC organization had come down real hard on him. Getting a new @sshole, courtesy Jeffrey Immelt. All things considered, when Barry is known to have thrown an entire newspaper organization out of the White House Press Pool for running a front page article not overflowing with praise for him and his administration, when Barry kicked a San Francisco news reporter out of the White House Press Pool for recording an in the event demonstration against Barry in a closed fundraiser, Rick didn't make out too badly. If this were the old Soviet Union Barry could have had him shot for running off at the mouth like that against his policies.
Even then, we had no way of knowing what was coming and just how bad they would turn out.]

"Reasons for the Tea Party movement still apply

Instapundit links to articles on the third anniversary of the Tea Party movement, when the first rallies were held.

I attribute the rise to the rant earlier in February 2009 by Rick Santelli.

I can watch this over and over again without getting tired of it. It’s more true today than three years ago."
