I mean you realize that GM builds a 300 HP Caddy CTS which is essentially a 4 Vette, and many people believe it is the superior car to the V8 right?

The idea of a V6 Corvette is beyond idiotic.

And no, a CTS is NOT a "4 Vette", or anything else like the Corvette! The CTS is on the Alpha platform...the Corvette is on its own, unique platform. The only Corvette-based Cadillac was the XLR roadster.

yes its so idiotic that gm has been contemplating it for years right? what's idiotic is you thinking you know everything about vehicles you know some things about vehicles, not all things.

Considering the current Corvette ALREADY pulls down 29MPG highway...squat! A V6 Corvette would ruin the brand...on the level of a 4-door Mustang or a front wheel drive Jeep Wrangler.
