I'd like to at this time make a small prediction for the sole purpose of my future self-aggrandizement.

When, by the time the President's term is up, and a Palestinian state is, if not yet in existence, at least clearly on the way to existence, all the people who are currently celebrating the wonderfulll and positive legacy of Yasser Arafat in our papers and on our television sets will, in an attempt to deny acknowledgement of the success of President Bush where their god, President Clinton, failed, begin to explain to us how Arafat was himself an impediment to the realization of a Palestinian state and how after his death the creation of that state was an historical inevitability.

Im wondering if it's possible to get Carter to stop free lancing our foreign policy? Can someone tie him to a chair and stuff an apple in his mouth? Maybe a nice long trip to Cuba to stay?
