Actually, the guy who wrote the book said after he published it, he got lots of letters from people saying they started their own fight clubs. He even said he got some letters from old men who said they had fight clubs back in the 30's and that he took their idea.

Then again, Pahlaniuk is a weirdo, so it's possible he made that stuff up. As for Project Mayhem, yeah, I'm surprised nobody's at least made an attempt at that sort of thing. The author is part of some group that's vaguely like Project Mayhem, but they just do things like throw chicken guts at people in high class restaurants and stuff like that, nothing really dangerous or earth-shattering.

Anyway, sad to say, but I read that whole analysis. Some of it was pretty interesting, though apparently I sort of had the movie pretty much figured out on my own. Good link, anyway, Max, thanks!
