It may be a soft one or a hard one, but with the delusional Liberals in charge it is coming. Right now as the signs increase and the warnings are out there, what are the liberals doing? They are calling those upset and opposed to more liberal socialism, astro turf and liars, they are calling them fakes and crazies.

When the breaking point comes, the left will remain just as delusional as it is now and in denial. It won't be their fault it will be the vast secret Right wing conspiracy. The simple fact is only about 30 percent are Republicans and only about 30 percent are Democrats, the majority is that 40 percent that decide each election who to vote for. And THEY are the ones getting upset, they are the ones that find the plans and policies of this Administration are wrong. THEY are questioning Obama and the Congress, only to be ignored and labeled as astro turf and other stupid names.

All one need do is open their eyes and pay attention. But that will not happen. The Liberals live in a dream world, they are to delusional to see the writing on the wall right in front of them.

ya know, I thought the same thing, heading up to the 2004 election...I was certain President Bush would lose, according to the poles and how much his approval rating dropped from when he was first hired for the job...

But I was wrong.

And I had hope like you, that there would be a revolt against the republicans and the president because of all the horrid things they had done to this country...all the fabrications and all the breaches with the Constitution and within their administration one person after another quitting or going to jail...I had HOPE that there would be a real change at the poles and Bush's but primarily Cheney's butt was on the street!

But guess what? It didn't happen....all those joys that were inside me and all that hope for change in the congress and senate with the majority party getting their butts kicked did not come in to fruition and sickness and sorrow took over, once again, for my country.

Sure the Dems picked up some seats in 2002 and 2004 i believe, but it wasn't until the 2006 election, beginning 2007 that they finally got the majority.

my prediction is Repubs will definitely gain seats, but not enough to make a difference in both 2010 and 2012 and that by 2012 this president will be reelected by a slim margin and you all go through the same suffering that we did....

There are more conservatives than Republicans and more Democrats than liberals. That's one of the asymmetries between the parties that helps to explain the particular political spot we're in. The numbers are fairly clear. In the 2008 exit poll, 34 percent of voters described themselves as conservatives and 32 percent as Republicans; 39 percent described themselves as Democrats but only 22 percent as liberals.

It's been this way for a long time. The premise of John Kenneth Galbraith's "The Liberal Hour," published in 1960, was that conservative politicians wanted to identify themselves as liberals, as supporting Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal, when it came time for elections.

But as in his description of the economy in "The New Industrial State," Galbraith was telling us how things had been, not how they would soon be. By the late 1960s, with riots blazing in big cities and rebellions roaring on university campuses, the balance shifted away from liberals and toward conservatives.
The result is that the two parties have offsetting political advantages. Democrats tend to win on party identification. Republicans tend to win on ideology. Democrats don't have to appeal to as many independents as Republicans do. Republicans don't have to appeal to as many moderates as Democrats do.

But the Democrats have a problem here. The party's leadership currently tilts heavily to the liberal side. Barack Obama is from the university community of Hyde Park in Chicago. Speaker Nancy Pelosi is from San Francisco, and important House committee chairmen are from similar "gentry urban" locales -- Henry Waxman from the West Side of Los Angeles, Charles Rangel from a district that includes not only Harlem but much of the Upper West Side of Manhattan, Barney Frank from Newton, Mass., next door to Boston.

i don't remember such happening, nor media coverage of such....i do know many, many did not believe he won the election in florida, thus the presidency, because the supreme court cut off the statewide recount...but the ''consortium'' of media outlets squashed any dissent of such and came out with an inaccurate headline that bush won the election, UNTIL the fine print was read of their report of course!

but what you say does make sense, to a degree...because i know Bush set up the Orwellian 'free speech zones'', no where near him, with gates around them to contain the protesters....but i thought that this was due to the WAR in iraq, not the contentious and disputed election result?

Regardless, it was VERY FEW...a distinct minority that showed disrespect....president bush had approval ratings around 80% less than a year in to presidency...HE WAS GIVEN A CHANCE by both dems and repubs.... to deny that is just untruthful.

So I do not see a revolution coming.

Revolutions take planning and personal commitment and resources at all levels of both government and from within the the ranks of the people, too.

What I see happening (if anything) is a continued erosion of quality of life as civil authority breaks down due to economic collapse.

Maybe when things are that bad, something like a revolution is possible.

But chaos and anarchy (followed by some kind of police state) is more likely.

He thinks a flag pin is fake patriotism, his wifte found herself to be 45 years of age before she could find something about her country to be proud of. 20 years in Jeramiah Wright's church. and he hasn't proven me wrong either. His entire time in office he has trotted the globe apologizing for America, covers up religious symbols, disrespects and refuses to acknowledge the National Day of Prayer.
