Everywhere, simultaneously.
There's a new director of the CIA, the agency responsible for a number of intelligence failures since the fall of the Berlin Wall, and when this new director 'offends' some of the top bosses to the point that they quit, why it's not cleaning house or rebuilding a vital yet dysfunctional government agency, no, it's:

a partisan purge

or best of all

"mostly the product of a highly partisan, inexperienced staff that came over to the CIA with Porter Goss," said Jane Harman, the senior Democrat on the House committee that Mr. Goss once chaired.

My impression is that it's more of the same old partisan politics. Grab any old stick and hit our current adminstration with it. If it works--great, if not grab another one. It's the only thing they know. Sad and irresponsible behavior by a party who should be providing us with viable alternatives.
