We have a drive here where our local grocers sell certificates for 1, 5, 10 & 25 dollar donations at the register for our local food banks.

A girlfriend of mine is taking her kids 7 & 5 to a homeless shelter Christmas morning to help serve food.

Remember those less fortunate than you!

But it's not apolitical. What's wrong? You don't like the hypocrisy of right wingers being exposed so they can feel all warm about themselves for a month or so? Poor people need help 12 months out of the year. Not just at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Taking help away from a poor person is just as bad in the summer as it is on Christmas morning.

Donate toys, snacks, treats and blankets to your local animal shelter and rescue agencies. Most of them have a wish list. See how many wishes you can grant. The least of life are the homeless and abandoned animals many of whom are facing death.
