No use kidding yourself ... we haven't. The only ones who learned and gained anything from Vietnam were lefties. They're using the exact same tactics now and people are reacting the same way. Same problem a lot of parents now have with their children.

If they whine long enough, winning the war will become secondary to getting the left to just shut the F- up.

I know you haven't given up Gunny, and I ain't given up either.

The wife won't let me "up front" anymore, for fear I'll piss off some yuppie with an opinion on the war.

I am lucky though, around these parts, the largest majority support our efforts overseas, and hold in contempt those that don't.

    I hope it doesn't change.

Seems to me there should be a penalty for those that help the enemy sway public opinion againts there own country.

I can't even watch the MSM anymore, not that I don't want to get a different perspective, but those people just out, and out LIE.

    As you were, rant over......:blah2:

I avoid discussing politics. I've learned the average person isn't very well educated on politics and current events and half the time are willing to go with whatever story the MSM spews out.

While I haven't given up, I don't rule out a repeat performance from the left. They pulled it off once. Vietnam has been so dissected and hashed and rehashed you'd think we would be smarter than to fall for the same stupid ploy.
