Oh, it's not stupidity.

He's spent decades building a brand that has a foundation of ego, hyperbole and bluster, and he's just following the template.

I know a guy like this locally, I worked for him a zillion years ago. Just mention his name downtown and you get a smile and an eyeroll, but he has always been very successful because he just pushes his way to what he wants. No one buys his bullshit, but he still manages to force his way into what he's after, and I mean some BIG things.

This isn't about a high or low intelligence, it's about a personality type. Unfortunately, politics caught his eye.

Donald Trump has recently made some statements that call into question his level of intelligence..

his statements call into question whether his future ability to handle
DIPLOMACY ON HIS FEET------as a president will be even remotely
adequate. Sorry----I do not dislike the guy---but LET'S FACE IT

Exactly..........he uses being an attention hoe as a business model. Will being an unapologetic attention hoe work in a presidential campaign? I would not think so in the long run; however, he is leading the republicans in the polls now.

Probably the stupidest man running for President in the GOP.

And no.................money is no substitute for class or manners.

A person who can not be bought off and speaks his mind is a breath of fresh air.

Some of us is getting tired of the pc police and I don't get how you can call a 69 year old billionaire stupid.

The OP is absurd, but typical of leftism.

One does not build a real estate empire, if they are stupid. That does not mean they NEVER say something stupid.

Obama has said untold number of dumb things, but many Americans think him amazingly intelligent. Go figure...

Read some of his statements, and it will become a lot clearer.

Its not a question of intelligence. He was born to immense wealth and raised to believe his didn't smell as bad as the little people's. He gives a whole new meaning to "out of touch".

I doubt he plans to say really obnoxious and ignorant crap. Its just not something he has ever had to be concerned with or control.

Imagine him with world leaders ...

We have seen the community organizer from chicago deal with world leaders.

Not pretty after 7 years.

Sometimes a guy comes along after years of the pc police messing things up and every one wants to be polite and courtaious to other nations.

The last one we had was an actor that stood up to the world and said "Nah, don't mess with America"

We can use another one.

I have to wonder if anyone here is old enough to remember Casious Clay (sp.?) ? Talking trash gave him a lot of free air time which made him an awful lot of money. On top of that Trump is saying exactly what many many voters want to hear.

How many recent presidents were not born into wealth? FDR certainly was thanks to his grandfather's drug pushing in China. Both shrubs were born into amazing wealth, likely also from underhanded activities. JFK...well most know his families misbegotten wealth. Carter and Big Ears did okay. Reagan and BJ Bubba were the exception. What of the amazing inherited wealth of those men who did not win like McCain, Romney, Kerry, and Mr. AGW?

Donald Trump has recently made some statements that call into question his level of intelligence..

Trump's the political equivilent of Kim Kardashian. Kim made a sex tape to get famous, Trump says stupid stuff which appeals to the stupid conservative base, both get tons of fame and media coverage for it.

The media, democrats, and republicans all quoted him out of context.. then filled in the context they wanted. But this time that tactic did not work... Trump's not backing down and the truth about what Trump said is coming out. Trump said he wasn't a hero one time in one context and also said he was a hero four times. Trump was not talking to all vets he was responding to McCain's attack on Trump's supporters as "crazies" according to McCain. Trump was echoing past remarks made by Democrats and Republicans alike about McCain. This whole story is total bull shit. But Trump will come out of it ahead of where he was at the start... just as he did with regard to his comments on illegals. Conservatives have had it with Socialist McCain and the weak kneed crybaby Republicans who bow to every demand from Democrats.

Ayup... I'd expect Trump to talk about real American Heroes that did not side with democrats at every turn but instead fought for America and became American success stories.

What did McCain say?

Here it is: “It’s very bad,” McCain, who was eager to talk about Trump, told me on Monday when I stopped by his Senate office. The Senator is up for reëlection in 2016, and he pays close attention to how the issue of immigration is playing in his state. He was particularly rankled by Trump’s rally. “This performance with our friend out in Phoenix is very hurtful to me,” McCain said. “Because what he did was he fired up the crazies.”

IOW anyone that is against illegal immigration is a crazy person that is unlikely to vote for McCain. The only way to be "sane" is to be pro illegal immigration.

trump is so stupid, he makes even rick perry look presidential!
