A Question for Socialists - Wealth Inequality

First of all, Wal-Mart doesn't hire any "illegal" workers. Find me just ONE case where an illegal worker was found working for Wal-Mart.

Second, we have nobody to blame but ourselves for Wal-Mart "taking advantage of the workers."

You wanted cheaper prices? You got em'. Now don't go on biting the hand that feeds you.

Um..

250 workers arrested at Wal-Mart on immigration charges - Oct. 23, 2003

:eusa_eh:

Federal agents picked up undocumented workers from Mexico, eastern Europe and other countries who were employed by several contractors used by the world's largest retailer.

They weren't employed by Wal-Mart. Nice try, though.

Oh man really?

Sub contracting isn't hiring.

Got it..

:D

You are so full of it, it's incredible. I worked for the federal government. I was so good at my job they kept adding things to it. They didn't increase my pay. When better jobs came up, my boss told them not to hire me because they couldn't do without me. When the GAO came in to audit my job, they wanted to change my GS 4 to a GS 9, but my boss convinced them that I didn't qualify for a GS 9 and if they changed it, no one else could do the job. When I finally quit, they replaced me with someone who couldn't do the job and all the extras were shipped out to other people. Yeah, right, hard work and incentive is rewarded.. NOT!!

Meanwhile, blond Bimbo got the job that was a higher grade than mine that I had already done along with my job for 3 months, then got into a car accident and I got the "privilege" of doing her job as well as mine for another 3 months. Oh, and they took one of her duties away and gave it to me, because I was the one with the training, which I took on my own time with my own money.

Government job.. that is your problem right there.... Clout and politics mean more than driving improvement

Always some excuse isn't there? Face it, the world isn't fair, if it was, we wouldn't need a minimum wage. We wouldn't need more taxes on the rich. We sure has hell wouldn't have a country ruled by the greed it's ruled by now.

1) The world is not fair... you are correct in that
2) 'Need' for a minimum wage is not fact, it is an opinion
3) We don't 'need' more taxes on the rich... And in a society based on supposed equality in treatment, it would and is wrong to treat someone unequally based on what you feel is 'comfortable' for them to pay because you want to feel more comfortable by paying lesser rates than them
4) The country is corrupted by a lot of greed.. .Greed from the entitlement junkies is also a huge part of it, as well as the greed of those wanting others to pay for services for them

There was a time not that long ago when a CEO earned an average of about 10 times the company employees' average earnings.

In fact it was back the days that most conservatives pretend they want to return to.

The first few years of a company's life are generally the roughest.

Once it's up and running, there are multiple processes in place to keep it going.

Paying attention to trends is basically the hardest part of that.

Large corporations go bankrupt all the time. Just consider the recent example of Hostess. Anyone who thinks keeping a business successful is something anyone can do is simply an idiot.

That was before Unions and politicians started raging about "corporate raiders" and made it much more difficult to replace corporate management.

Professional sports stars and movie stars make far more than corporate CEOs.

Why don't we ever see commies like you whining about their incomes?

Right, anyone who thinks you can get ahead by being extra-good at your job is not that good at their job. Becoming indispensable can turn out to be biggest obstacle to advancement possible while talented ass-kissers often write their own ticket. I should know because I have had the same irreplaceable and somewhat well paying position for years while better paid incompetent management comes and goes with such frequency I barely bother remembering their names.

The lament of a loser.

We don't need a minimum wage or more taxes on the rich. What we need is to remove all the leaches from the government tit.

Used to be just being on time and at work everyday and doing a good job over the course of years was plenty justification for pay raises, now we have to somehow distinguish ourselves from the other hard working people to deserve a raise? How should we do that? Unpaid overtime? Bribery? Undeserved flattery? Sexual favors? What? We are presented with so many examples of management chiseling the workers out of pay and benefits while giving themselves raises that we see that running a company for years is no longer the goal of upper management, it's to suck every last dollar they can out of a company before it collapses under their dead weight.

You do the minimum or just enough to get by, you stay as you are and get the minimum
Put in the extra hours, study on your own, dig deep into a project, find the more efficient way, save the company money, bring in new revenue, the list goes on

You want the benefits of company profits, invest in the company, start and fund a company yourself... and if you want a profit sharing model for your company and its employees, more power to you. I hope you set it up that way... Hope you got all the money to do it yourself or you somehow find investors that want to take less for their risk of investment

Another whining federal "employee".................Your typical Irish welfare recipient.....
