It isn't the laws.....we have more than enough to arrest criminals who use guns for crime.

Are you saying there is nothing that will PREVENT these crimes and we can only clean up afterwards? You could also say we have enough hospitals to take care of car crash victims so we don't need seat belts or other safety measures.

Mass public shooters.....nothing we can do. The only way to stop them is through good intelligence from the people who know them. Mass public shootings are not a major problem.....last year there were 6, and 71 people were murdered...knives were used to murder 1,500 people last year, car accidents killed 35,000.......

We have all the laws we need.......we just need people who know these guys to come forward.....Britain did everything the gun banners want...and they almost had two mass shootings last year.....one kid got his gun on the dark web, their gun control didn't stop him...he posted about the shooting on social media and the police stopped him...the other kid brought a shotgun to school and at the last minute changed his mind and called their 911 system...their gun control laws didn't stop them....

Australia has had shooting after shooting that could have been mass public shootings but the guy with the gun didn't shoot more people, and the ones who did shoot just wounded their victims.....their gun control laws didn't stop them from being mass shootings.........

France....they have all the gun laws anti gunners want here......and terrorists on government terrorist watch lists got fully automatic, military rifles and grenades......their gun control laws didn't stop the Charlie he do killings...12 people......or the Paris concert shooting...130 dead.....their gun control laws didn't stop it......

People knowing the people in their families are dangerous and telling the government who then acts on it...that is how you stop it.

And also......the Pulse Night club shooter.....he passed an in depth background check for his job. He passed background checks for his gun purchases...each one. Then, when a coworker called the FBI, they conducted 3 interviews with the guy, trained FBI investigators, they did a detailed, 10 month background search and even sent in an undercover agent to approach him.....and they cleared him....then he went on to do the shooting. And he could have done that shooting with a bag full of revolvers so the gun wasn't the issue. The gun free zone, where good people had no guns was the issue. He could have been stopped cold.

The Fort Hood shooter.....was known to be a muslim extremist...he would hand out his business cards that stated that he was a warrior for Jihad, he gave lectures to military psychiatrist meetings where he extolled jihad......and they ignored him...then he went on to shoot those people......

The way to stop mass public shooters is good intelligence.....nothing else works.

Most intelligent people want gun control. Especially the ones that own guns like I do. Just because a law or attempt to stop people being killed is not 100% effective and guaranteed to work every single time in does not make it a bad idea.

Yes.....we already have gun control...we have all the laws we need to arrest criminals who use guns for crimes. The extra laws you want...aren't even 1% effective....they don't stop the murders in Chicago, Balitmore, D.C., L.A., N.Y...........places with extreme gun control.....

What we need are longer jail sentences for repeat, violent offenders and repeat gun offenders....and you guys fight that all the way....

Mass public shooters.....nothing we can do.

First, in LV it would seem that the bump stock allowed more bullets to be fired in the same period of time, hence more casualties. Would banning bump stocks be a reasonable rule? Of course you could argue that only criminals would have bump stocks but at least if you found someone with an illegal accessory you have some legal recourse. Saying "nothing we can do" is saying we don't care to do anything and we don't even want to have that conversation.

Second, mass shootings make headlines but most gun violence is either self-inflicted or done by someone known to the shooter. I have to think there are ways to lower these numbers without confiscating guns.
