Admin/mods view the comments in private. Please note is against the rules to post the contents of PMs on the baord. It is not against the rules to forward those PMs to a admin/mod if one feels it is necessary.

The rules also state that the same rules that apply on the board apply to PMs. If there is a violation or suspected violation, or just general harrassment via PM, members are expected to bring that to the staff's attention if they want it resolved.

When you rep someone and add a comment, that is a rep comment.

Such as:

You have received 325 points from Echo Zulu:

"Hey, that xotoxi sure has a nice ass, I agree!"

That is a rep comment, not a PM, and the board rules says it can be posted.


IF you reply to me after that rep comment,

"Hey, I never said xotoxi had a nice ass, I said he IS an ass"

Then THAT is considered a PM and you can't post that.

Oh wait, you can't give neg-rep without including a comment, but you can give pos-rep without including a comment.
What should I do about this double standard?

Usually when I give someone a neg rep, I have something I want to say... that I don't give a shit if they post.

But sometimes I just type a minus sign. Seems fitting.

we were uncertain at the time where the auto generated messages fell, so dude editing it was the proper thing to do, while we were discussing it AvgJoe....! I think we figured it out now.....? but who knows???
