Is it true, they had a armed guard there? If so, what the hell happened and why are there so many dead people?

NRA supporters, comments?

"The Department of Education has counted 98,817 public schools in the United States and an additional 33,366 private schools." The NRA wants armed guards at all these schools. If Columbine had one, doesnt that prove it wouldn't matter?

We need to take these people out at the knees.

Knock them down so they can't get up.

Using all the legal resources and confiscation laws, open the books and find every NRA member with a restraining order, a domestic violence charge, PTSD, felony, drunk driving, anything we can use to arrest them, fine, audit them, hammer them with endless attorneys fees for anything and everything, and send them scurrying back into a prepper cave where we can roll a big boulder in front of the door.

Don't know many school systems in Texas have their own police departments as do most of the colleges. Houston ISD has a nationally accredited police department. Are you saying we're wasting our money protecting our children?

Schools are pretty big... and it takes time to get to the scene.

Nope, I am asking about the NRA's repsonse to this shooting. They are saying arm every school with a guard. I am asking if Columbine had a guard, why were there still killings there? Did it work there?

Yep, takes a true commie to come up with political persecution of law abiding citizens with whom they disagree. Good job slime ball, good job.

So a nut can get in, wipe out an entire class of kids before the armed guard is even on scene. Whats the fucking point of having a guard at every school then?

That is what the NRA wants. Oh and who pays for these guards. I wonder what a right leanining person would say if he heard his taxes were being raised to pay for guards like that one at columbine.

Thats right.... it takes time to get to a scene, and then having the ability to make a kill shot.

How about you arm every teacher? lol. I am pretty sure the inner city teachers would feel more safe.....

Truthfully... one armed guard is better then no armed guard. I see the point the NRA is making.... we arm business against property loss, but not schools against possible lives lost.

The problem is people want to "feel" safe" and seeing an armed guard give that false sense of security. Just as all of the gun control laws will give people the same false sense of security.

Bottom line is... if someone wants to do a thing like this.... they will do something like this.

Again... no one trying shit expects a soft target to shot back... and that softness MAKES them a target.

Ya think they could get rid of a few highly paid bureaucrats from the administrative offices, but why not authorize teachers to have guns, just the authorization would discourage someone to start shit in a school, it could the teachers decision to actually carry or not.

Exactly. Which is why this is such an idiotic idea.

If armed guards were the answer, the Ft Hood shooting would not have happened.

No more of an answer then the knee jerk, climb on top of dead children agenda of gun control.

That would cost approximately 3 billion dollars a year. Who exactly is going to pay for that? Oh and how did that guard work our at cilumbine?

How about taxing the parents of the children attending the school to foot the bill... there's a novel idea.

If teachers all had a concealed carry permit.... no need to foot any bill at all.

The kids would get their homework in and parents wouldn't be rude to teachers if they flash that gat, eh?

Not a NRA member or supporter or detractor for that matter anyway from what I have found out there was a armed deputy a Columbine who called for backup exchanged fire with one of the shooters once before he called for the back up a second time with his back up and helped begin the evacuation of students before the SWAT team arrived. So if this is correct then his exchanging gunfire with the shooters keep them for going after the students and the evacuating of the students ahead of SWAT arrival probably saved lives did this stop the attack no but it does seem like it keep it from being even worse than it was.

So you're going to throw out the 4th Amendment with the 2nd?

And why the focus on PTSD? Are you saying everyone with nightmares from war zones are incapable of being responsible?

There were no armed guards inside the medical center. Armed security were far away from that building.
