A possible way the Death Panels might work ?

I just LOVE the provisions in all HC bills so far, allowing old folks who cannot afford health care insurance but own property -- like a house for example -- to sign over their property to the government to get treatment.

So you would rather they go bankrupt and loose their house anyways, and not get any compensation for their house?
Or how about the fact older people having to sell their house to pay for their private insurance bills? Is that alright?

Death and decisions about death are, of course, inevitable. But, better for those choices to be by the individual and their doctors- not the state.

Some places to start for real changes that Papa Obama care does not:

don't penalize suicide
Tort reform
Allow competition across state lines
Allow more market forces

The left claims that socialized medicine will be fair and equal- very doubtful
Does anyone believe that the President and politicians are going to have the same level of care as the masses ?

We only need to look at how school vouchers are denied for poor children while the President sends his kids to private school to see that will not happen.

Socialism does not make it better; it only spreads misery equally, except for the "inner party " members. The proletariat has no way to improve their situation

At least with a free market, one has the opportunity to improves one's "lot in life"

My country has both - public health and private.
So there will be no private health in the US anymore?

As an aside, pure socialism doesn't work....no western country has it....

Exactly, and what happens

The best medical resources are drawn to the private sector and become even more out the reach of the middle class- Sort of what you see in the US with public and private schools

Remember,

Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Danny Williams chose to travel to the United States for heart surgery. He said "This was my heart, my choice and my health,"

Something that a lot of Canadians could not afford to do

What happened to coverage for all? Why would folks have to sign over their property to get treatment? Isn't health care a RIGHT according to the far-left?

Rod Serling would of been appalled by someone like the OP.

Just sayin. :eusa_whistle:

Isn't the best health care in the private sector anyway? Right now?

How would you know that

Oh that's right- makes sense , the left thinks they know what's best for people better than the people themselves. They are use to putting "words" into people's mouths

While I won't be sophomoric and pretend to speak for Rod,
one does have to wonder with the strong stand against Statism in many of the tv shows,
how he would feel about PapaObama care?

Just saying :eusa_whistle:

As a side note
Your Billy Joel signature is pretty lame.
Some would say gay; but I would not be one of those to say that....

Apparently some Canadians think so

Yes and it could be more efficient if you got the gov't out of it more

Are not the majority of Americans happy with medical coverage and care?

There is no such thing as death panels. And people that persist in saying there are are making complete fools of themselves. I'm embarrassed for you.
