A paradigm shift is under way

Solar on your rooftop will not be even 10% of what's required to charge your car.

Let's run some numbers.

Assume 100 square meters of panels.

The panels generate 250W/m^2 at best, so let's say they generate an average of 100 over 8 hours a day.

100 * 8 * 100 * / 1000 = 80 kw-hrs.

A Tesla's battery pack holds 90 kw-hrs.
Good luck with that average "math"!

And the Tesla battery pack needs above 24 VdC to get a current charging amperage high enough to get your 80 Kwhrs in an 8 hour time span
Did you do your "let`s run some numbers math" using the OCV ratings...sure looks like it

#1 Complete and utter bullshit. Tesla outsells any other large luxury sedan on the market;

And the Leaf and Bolt are well within the price range of most people that buy new cars. Not only that, but over 400,000 Americans have already put money down on the Tesla 3.

#2. Complete and utter bullshit. Those batteries are far safer than sitting on 20 gallons of extremely flammable gasoline.

And those are just the Tesla supercharging stations. Many hotels, motels, and shopping malls have charging stations that are not as fast, but will still charge while you are shopping, or sleeping.

That's a joke. The S is classified as a mid size luxury, not a large sized one. In that category it has around 9% of the market. Still pretty good, but not the fraudulent claim that you make. All of the cars that it is compared against in that graph are more expensive and larger. Hell the Merc has more than 10 inches more rear seat leg room than the S.

The whole concept is a joke, especially the concept to build a structure to have a roof to mount solar panels that you cant mount on the existing house just so you can charge an EV hopefully 0to a full charge during daylight hours....so that you can drive maybe 25 to 30 miles at night to get your groceries after the store is closed. How much more backwards does it get with this CO2 prohibition sect ?
Even the Amish are better off than the Mammooth solar carport EV "Technology" project

They don`t have to wait all day to get going, then can keep going way past the EV range and don`t have to wait for hours on end before they can return home with the stuff they got
Dollars to donuts they would beat that EV over a 50 mile round trip

These people are off.........they'd tell you in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king! Numbers don't lie.....if your baseball team is down 18-0 after 7 innings and somebody hits a solo home run, its not a comeback assholes!!:bye1:

With the number of so called "educated" people who vote Democrat these EV sales should be a lot higher than they are. If you sell a car that needs to tank up with 2 different things then you got a marketing problem.
Sure a internal combustion engine needs gas in the tank and lube oil in the crank case but you don`t have to bother with the oil till it`s time for an oil change. The hybrid cars that can`t charge using the braking system are in the same category as a car with a 2 stroke engine would be which would require you to buy the mix oil and the gas.
Road side gas stations sell everything their customers buy while they stop for gas.
If EVs & hybrids were as numerous as the claim that`s been made here gas stations would have been catering to their needs already. They don`t miss a chance to get more revenue to increase their profit margin.
So they sell everything from food, drinks, lottery tickets, even cell phones & accessories but nothing at all specific to EVs.
It`s easier to find a gas station that sells you a pair of reading glasses or a Crocodile Dundee hunting knife than a gas station that lets you park on their lot long enough to charge an EV using their hydro.

Forgetting about everything else...........EV's are ghey looking. Even the Tesla S looks like a plain jane sedan.....and the affordable EV's are hideous. And lets face it.....those who buy them do it for one main reason: to make some sick-ass snobby statement that they care more about the environment than the next guy. Look at the Leaf!! The Prius!!! Laughable looking cars..........which Americans don't want, obviously given the sales numbers.

f'ing duh:bye1::popcorn::popcorn:
