Still depressing. Especially here in Oregon which has 25 black counties and 11 purple ones.

Of course, we shot ourselves in the foot last November with a substantial tax increase.

Washington is mostly purple I notice, with one red county, and Idaho has one yellow county.

If you are one of the 10% unemployed, the world is very dark with competition for very scarce jobs.

It's also quite dark for the additional 7 - 12% (depending upon which stat one chooses) who have given up looking for work or have taken temp jobs at a fraction of their former income.

Small businesses create 60% plus of the jobs in our economy. They are not hiring due to the huge overreach of the Obama Administration into the private sector - and the looming tax increases contained in ObamaCare and the expiration of the Bush Tax cuts.

I don't buy it. And what business is it of government? Without those industries we cease to have an economy...or at least one that means anything. And do please tell us of growing Government whose average pay eclipses that of the private sector?

And one other thing the Government MUST learn? It isn't their money. Government produces zero. They only take.

The gov is responsible for a basic economic structure, there IS no place on this rock, or in the course of human history where Libertopian capitalism has been allowed to exist without the creation of detrimental disparity T

said Disparity is the root problem in America today

It's not the creation of jobs, it's the litigated protectants like VAT that insure those jobs are viable
