A Matter of the Media

No. It's an extremely biased news source.

Why people would use obviously biased news resources to make a point is way beyond me. Instead of giving some posters creditability, sites like Media Matters, The American Spectator; etc, those who use them to lose creditability.
If a person wants to live in the fog by just dialing in resources that issue news that fits their ideology, they are cheating their intellectual awareness of the Big Picture.

If SuperPAC donations are so secret, how come we already know all about who is behind this one?

Hmmmm...

Maybe this news about Media Matters will wake people up to the fact that corporate media has more effect on the outcome of elections than any PAC ever will.

Notice how the libs aren't arguing the fact that the White House gives it's marching orders to MSNBC through Media Matters.

They've accused Fox of being the voice of Republicans yet now we have proof that Media Matters, MSNBC, and the White House are of a single mind when it comes to news reporting and actually compare notes. As a matter of fact Media Matters is headlining at this writing a book about Fox being a propaganda machine for the right.

The truth is Media Matters is trying to ruin the lives of Fox News employees.

It is hard to argue against the evidence.

Problem one with Media Matter:
As a 501(c) Media Matter is prohibited and can lose it's non-profit status because:
...voter education or registration activities with evidence of bias that (a) would favor one candidate over another; (b) oppose a candidate in some manner; or (c) have the effect of favoring a candidate or group of candidates, will constitute prohibited participation or intervention.
The Restriction of Political Campaign Intervention by Section 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Organizations

Problem two is Media Matters bias and contributions directly to MSNBC in weekly if not more often conversations, emails, etc. regarding negative stories about opponents is used by the MSNBCs, WAPOST,etc that lend "credability" to negative content.
Negative content influences readers/viewers and the opinions voiced by readers/viewers in polls.
Polls influence politicians who pass laws THAT AFFECT MY LIFE!

For example CBS is passing off a BIASED poll regarding contraception where there are 25% MORE Democrats polled which would obviously skew the results! As a result NYT/CBS poll
On contraceptive coverage, 65 percent of voters in the poll said they supported the Obama !

Again.. 25% more Democrats responded! YET THAT WAS NEVER put in the headline!

All this hand-wringing over media matters, because David Brock, a former Right wing hitman, has now become a left-wing hitman. (Remember when Brock was a right winger and wrote an expose on Anita Hill? I do.)

Here's where the real problem is. Media outlets take MM stuff and run with it because it's cheap to do so. The real problem is that all the news organizations are firing reporters, not assigning correpsondents to various things. I picked up a copy of the Chicago Tribune after not reading it for the last 4 years, and frankly, it was kind of depressing how little content is left in it, and they still want to charge a buck for it.

And they have all this wonderful content on the interent, that's just sitting out there, ready for anyone to pick up. So why pay someone to write a story when Media Matters is just giving you one for free?

Bush's White House sent daily talking points memos to Fox according to Scott McClellan (who would know). Is there evidence of the Obama administration doing the same thing with "liberal" media?

I love how ya'll whine and wring your hands over Media Matters who simply post audio, video and transcripts of the stupid, inane or ridiculous things they say on mainstream media outlets. Oh, the horrors!

YOU have missed the point ENTIRELY!!!

MM is a 501(c) using tax exemption to promote in violation of tax status and MY tax dollars are being used when MM promoting opposite views doesn't pay!

More importantly addressing a bigger issue is YES the Tribune like others are less objective WHICH is why their audiences are diminishing!

Do you understand the link between false material spread by MM to news outlets like Washington Post that fits their opinions where 85% of reporters vote and donate to Democrats!

BUT this same editor says about... Obama..
" I mean in a way Obama’s standing above the country, above – above the world, he’s sort of God." –

So HOW in the hell can ANYONE NOT comprehend that BIASED MSM with help from MM contents LAID great claims about Obama (like a god..) NEVER investigated the FACTS this idiot CAN'T do even simple math, thinks there are 57 states, and based on the reporters donations 85% gave and voted for Obama!

SO yes MM issue IS A CONCERN and if the rest of the MSM were truly honest they would be reporting it... TEST.. ARE THEY?????

You wanna explain what the whole 'hit list' is from Media Matters? Why are they hiring investigators to dig into the personal lives of Fox News employees? Not just the commentators, but the executives, producers and others? How is some private citizen's private life 'news' exactly?

Media Matters are not a 'news' organization. They are the trained attack hounds of the Obama Administration. Sounds like your messiah has 'issues'.

Every president asks for some level of cooperation from the press.

They never wrote the headlines for them before as this White House is doing.

Media matters is a legal non profit. A .org if you will.

Yet they are fully engaged in attempting to do two things. Destroy Fox News and promote the progressive agenda.

Where the fuck are the IRS investigations?

So you don't consider BOTH wrong??

And MM is doing way more than just posting audio, video, and transcripts... and that has been pretty much exposed completely

MM's non profit status should be revoked.

It should most certainly be investigated, given the Daily Caller's assertions.

Personally, I find it incredible that a so called 'media organization' is producing un-vertified articles which are being accepted - again without verification - by so many of the MSM. That bullshit about the "28 states have healthcare laws similar the the ObamaCare clause and the Catholics haven't complained" came from this distribution method. That has proven to be bullshit - and yet the left are still repeating it as though it is fact.

The MSM... what a joke that has become in recent years.

The MSM is dead.

All they are is Obama's propaganda arm.

If you feel that way, buy a newspaper, buy a TV station and use it to promote your own views.

Look, we've known for years the media has a liberal bias, and always has. Whinging about it isn't going to help any.

"Hannity and Bozell spoke about some kind of Media Matters “enemies list.” But that is not what The Daily Caller reported. The Daily Caller supposedly got hold of an email from a former Media Matters staffer to his boss targeting Fox News as the enemy and offering suggestions about how to proceed in that vein – including hiring private investigators to look into the lives of Fox News personnel. But there was no information presented – either by Daily Caller or the Hannity show - that any of those suggestions were ever implemented or even seriously considered at any higher level. In fact, near the end of the segment last night, Hannity noted that no personal dope seems to have been uncovered. For all we know that former staffer was fired on the spot for having made such a suggestion."
