The House has passed dozens of bills and Reid will not even send them to committee. He simply ignores them, a violation of his responsibility to the voters of America.

In 2009 and 2010 the Dems simply ignored the Republicans and unilaterally created and voted on bills. The stimulus and Health care come to mind.

The Dems have REFUSED to even pass a budget, 4 years and no budget. That is a dereliction of duty and a violation of the requirements of the Congress and the President.

Shut up and get to the back of the bus, racist!

This post is so fucking hilarious that I am blown away.

Conservatives are always accusing black people of being the racist ones instead of the usual reality around us. So get to the back of the bus!

Liberal idiots lie to the American people so they look good. Reid is the one not doing his job.

That is the same Senate that Republicans have decided that EVERY bill is subjected to filibuster rules. No longer is 51% needed to pass a bil in the Senate. Republicans decided that the new standard is 60% for a bill to even be voted on

Reid is just playing the same politics the Republicans are. If you want bills to go for a vote....stop filibustering

I was just going to say....is this the same Senate in which the minority party has put in place a standing filibuster?

You mean compromise with the party that has repeatedly stated right up until Nov 2010 that they did not need nor want Republican input or support? Suddenly in 2011 and 2012 they want compromise? Like the way they compromised on the Super Committee? That kind of compromise? Like how the President makes demands, those kind of Compromises?

By the way? You are both liars the Senate passes legislation all the time. Exactly which party in the Senate has PUBLICLY ANNOUNCED they have no intention of passing a Budget this year?

A. The bills Reid is ignoring NEVER had a chance- total BS electioneering, just gutting regulations to protect the environment and workers. Pubcrappe for idiot dupes...
B. You don't remember the gang of six and all the stupid stalling by Pubs- on bills that were compromises, actually Pub bills to start with!?! Idiocy!

Nobody said the Senate didn't pass legislation.

But when the minority party is abusing the filibuster the majority party is going to stick it right back to them. That's the game.

It's you who refuses to see that other side of it but whatev, that's what you do.

No it is not the same. If Reid allowed the bills to go to commitee and up for a vote, then fillibuster the bill, it would be the same. As it is Reid is afraid of allowing the bill to be posted as they might actually pass. And if they did pass he could no longer claim the repubs are obstructionists. Anyone who is not lying to themselves would admit it is the dems in the senate that are being the true obstuctionists.

This is the party that begged the Republicans to come to the table and compromise.
In the stimulus, the Dems bent over backward to include tax cuts that would appeal to Republicans. Not a single Republican voted for it
In Healthcare, President Obama openly asked Republicans at the healthcare summit. " Tell me what you need in this bill to vote for it and I will work with you". Republicans replied " tear it up and start over"

In the Super Committee, Dems offered up Trillions in spending cuts. Republicans would not agree to a single penny in tax increases

And then Republicans whine......Democrats won't compromise

Don't bother the libs with facts, they don't do facts.

How do you know that don't have a chance? Put them up for vote and see if there are enough vote to overide a fillibuster. That is if the dems even fillibuster them in the first place.
If the repubs take the senate, and there is a possiblity they will, will you be ok when they refuse to post bills?

Republicans have to legislate as the minority party. As minority party you do not get to set the rules. Playing a "No Compromise" game means your bills get nowhere either

Try offering something in return and see if those bills move

Exactly how would the Republicans have known hat was in the stimulus they liked? It was passed without anyone reading it. The demand was made that it was to crucial to wait for the Congress to read it, it had to be passed NOW, then Obama waited 6 days to sign it.

As for Health care of course they said start over, his bill is a travesty.

The dems NEVER offered any trillions for cuts. You are a bald faced liar. They di however demand trillions more in taxes.

It was a "promise" to cut money in the future. Which was a joke as there would be a whole new congress that wouldn't be bound by any deals. If they were seriousv they wouldv'e supported Simpson Bowles.

Republicans are only the minority in the senate.
The senate could pass the bills with changes and then they would have to be taken up by both houses to iron out the differences. Reid refuses to allow even this though as it could weaken his argument if the bills were passed without changes.

Republicans have said tear it up and start over on Healthcare for twenty years. They did the same thing with Clinton. Once they block the bill and get back in power, they block any healthcare legislation

See whenever you ask a RW'er a direct question they always dodge. Are you saying Republicans never asked for and got tax cuts in the stimulus?
