In March, the sinking of a South Korean warship by North Korea is something that must be talked over again.
After the military armistice agreement in 1953 between the North and South Korea, there have been over 2,000 counts attacks in total, including the major ones: the 1968 Presidential Palace attack, the 1988 explosion of Korean Air flight, the explosion in Myanmar during South Korean President's visit, 2 nuclear missile trials, couple battles with the Navy in the west sea, and a torpedo attack against the South Korean warship "Cheonan" earlier this year.
After this attack, the North accused the US and South Korea for plotting a major scheme against the North and threatened to turn Seoul into a "Sea of Fire".
Instability in the Korean peninsula, many raised questions against the shifting of wartime operation control from US to ROK, which was to take place in April of 2012. However, during the G20 Conference, the United States and South Korean leaders decided to postpone the shifting of control to December 2015. It was definitely a good decision made by both nations.
