It would be nice to see a year, hell even a month that Obama doesn't blame Bush for something!!! I do recall Bush wanting Fannie and Freddie to be "reined in" but the Dems would hear nothing of it. Well, they all railroaded Newt Gingrich out, got that bitch Pelosi in, and now they think they all live on Mount Olympus!!

The day the Democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009
-- it was actually January 3rd 2007.

The day the Democrats took over the House of Representatives & Senate, the start of the 110th Congress.

The Democratic Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995.

"For those of you who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault," think about this:

January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress:

At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77
The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5%
The Unemployment rate was 4.6%

George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!

Remember the day.

January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.

The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy?
BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!

THANK YOU DEMOCRATS for taking us from 13,000 DOW, 3.5 GDP and 4.6% Unemployment to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOS!

(BTW: Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001 because it was financially risky for the US economy).

And who took the THIRD highest pay-off from Fannie Mae AND Freddie Mac?

OBAMA

And who fought against reform of Fannie and Freddie?

OBAMA& the Democratic Congress

So when some idiot tries to blame Bush

REMEMBER JANUARY 3rd, 2007 THE DAY THE DEMOCRATS TOOK OVER!

Bush may have been in the car but the Democrats were in charge of the gas pedal and steering wheel they were driving.

"It's not that liberals aren't smart, it's just that so much of what they know isn't so." -Ronald Reagan

You are both fun reads...those were great posts. But frankly I am sick of arguing about which side is more to blame.

We should be talking about how to fix this mess.

What are you willing to do about it?

Option#1. Revolution with no change?

Option #2. Legally change the Constitution to take funding power away from congress & the President, and make you directly responsible for funding?

Thanx NP,

This is CRITICAL INFORMATION that TOTALLY ANNIHILATES the BLAME BUSH BULLSHIT for the ECONOMY COLLAPSE.

The Republican talking heads are ABSOLUTELY LAME in not publicizing the facts as you did.

I betcha 90% of the Anti- Obamarrhoidal LIEberrhoids, including ignorant me, were totally oblivious of the facts you posted.

The excuse I have, albeit a very lame one, is that I was almost totally devoid of any interest in politics for many years and missed all those vital facts.

Bottom line: The Republican Leaders are TOTALLY LAME for not revealing these VITAL STATS. But, in the final analysis, the bottom line is that NOW, ANY BULLSHIT about "BLAMING BUSH" for the economy.....GOES INTO IN THE TRASH CAN !!!!

I don't understand this post, shintao.

Well, to clean up the mess, means kicking the corporatists out of government. If America revolts to get rid of them, there will be no change, but America will run in blood.

We can legally vote them out, and that requires organization like the tea partys, except you have to have a plan, You have to know what the goals are, so people will vote your party members into office. In this case, at the state & federal levels, so you can open a Constitutional convention & have the votes to make the necessary changes needed, to take funding power away from Congress & the President, and give you that direct power.

You see, Money$$$$ is power. It dictates what can be done. WE THE PEOPLE own government, but we do not own power. The IRS takes $$power$$ from you and gives it to Congress which is creating the mess regardless of what you think about it.

So please read this 1 page blog on the All Volunteer Government (AVG), my plan to give you the responsibility to run your own government. All Volunteer Government Party (AVGP)

SHITao, Your Obamarrhoidal LIEberrhoid BULLSHIT notwithstanding, the bottom line is that it is the DEMS THAT CONTROLLED BOTH HOUSES since 2007 LEADING TO THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE !!!

Also, you must note, that in those years, The Dems, using the 24/7 Lib controlled National Media HYPOCRITICALLY and TREACHEROUSLY DEMONIZED BUSH for the IRAQ WAR immediately after BUSH ANNIHILATED IRAQ'S 4th LARGEST ARMY IN THE WORLD in......TWENTY TWO DAYS !!!!

The HYPOCRITICAL and TREACHEROUS DEMS realized that in the upcoming elections their chances were ZERO, NADA.....ZIPPO !!!

The 24/7 Lib controlled National Media (there was ZERO opposition to it) began its RELENTLESS ATTACK against Bush GIVING THE GREEN LIGHT to IRAN and the other ISLAMOFASCIST Swine to begin the IRAQI QUAGMIRE......EACH of their successes were HUNDRED TIMES flared up by DENOUNCING BUSH !!!

THE IRAQI QUAGMIRE......caused not only the 4000+ American dead, and tens of thousands wounded, plus hundreds of thousands of Iraqi casualties......but our present debacle in the Mid East

And, BTW......The Clinton Adm yowled and howled for the military elimination of the Baghdad Psycho because Clinton's CIA and ALL the Intelligence Agencies of the major powers of the world (with the exception of China) were under the impression that Iraq had the WMDs.....and the MAJORITY of the Congressional Dems supported Bush, who using his judgment ONLY AGREED to what the Dems were yowling about and ACCOMPLISHED HIS MISSION....only to be sabotaged by the HYPOCVRITICAL and TREACHEROUS DEMS who made the TREACHEROUS 180 degree about face !!!

This destroyed ANY CREDIBILTY BUSH HAD !!!

From then on.....since 2007 the Dems had the HOUSE & SENATE.....and RULED AMERICA INTO THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE .

And OBAMI SALAAMI is STILL using his DISASTROUS SOCIALISTIC/MARXIST AGENDA to ruin America further.

KICK THIS POS OUT OF OFFICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE !!!

Start with his Obamarrhoidal LIEberrhoid Stooges in Congress in the upcoming elections !!!!

"BLAMING BUSH" for the economy.....GOES INTO IN THE TRASH CAN !!!![/B]

Sorry, no it doesn't. Because he incorrectly states that Dems seized power over congress, and that is a lie. They only way to do that is have 2/3rds of the seats in both houses, and the Dems never did. In fact Lieberman, traitor that he is, abandoned the dems and went to work for the replugs.

And he never mentions Bush's New Prosperity Initiative April 11, 2000 that collapsed the housing, by putting low income Americans into homes they couldn't afford. And who was in charge of ol Barney?? You got it! Bush was, yet he didn't fire him?? Why? Was it a leadership problem, or was Bush trying to put more people into homes than Clinton did?

“I propose a New Prosperity Initiative…A plan to
help remove obstacles on the road to the middle class…
Instead of helping people cope with their need, we will
help them to move beyond it. With the same energy and
activism that others have brought to expanding government,
we must expand opportunity.”
Governor George W. Bush

Are you saying Bush created jobs for Americans than Obama has, or was that "Out sourcing is a good thing," just a republican jingle? How is that working out, anyway? Oh, yeah, you showed us the chart. Thxs!!

During his visit in last week to India lots of issues were addressed by U.S. President George W. Bush and one of them was Offshore Outsourcing to India. He stated in terms of outsourcing as a fact of the global world that should be accepted and not feared off. George Bush states Offshore Outsourcing will assist U.S. in long run in many ways.

Bottom line SHITao:

THE DEMS during their control of BOTH houses' Financial and Banking services with Chris Dodd (Senate) and Bwaney Fwanks (House) as Chairmen from 2007 on.......BROUGHT AMERICA TO ITS ECONOMIC COLLAPSE !!!!

And, your PREDICTABLE BULLSHIT trying to DISTORT and OBFUSCATE this INCONTROVERTIBLE FACT is going down the nearest toilet bowl....with you in it.

But didn't we just have a Summer of Recovery ? Hasn't the economy turned around ?......That's what I keep hearing from the Liberal media.
Didn't Biden say thanks to the Stimulus bill job creation would be around 500,000 a month...?

So, just to be sure that I'm understanding what you're saying: You think that developing a robust presence in and stategy to exploit the current world economy should be avoided?

What levels of isolationism and protectionism are you recomending?

ahhh and the rewrite of history continues.

No matter how much spin you spew nearly 70 percent of the US blames Bush for the economic mess.

It would be nice to see a year, hell even a month that Obama doesn't blame Bush for something!!!
Expressing previous-conditions, as a point-of-reference, is "blaming" someone?? :eusa_eh:

Unless there was some sense of guilt, why (else) would someone feel "blamed" for something???

I do recall Bush wanting Fannie and Freddie to be "reined in" but the Dems would hear nothing of it.
Recall (without pointing-out/posting any specifics) is worth Zero.

Well, they all railroaded Newt Gingrich out, got that bitch Pelosi in, and now they think they all live on Mount Olympus!!

George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB CREATION!
Yeah......those Bushes were some serious job-creatin'-machines....

When every person in the Big 0's Administration couches the referances to the Failed Stimulus and the worst economy since the Great Depression, they ALWAYS referance the inherited problems.

When party hacks invoke the "surplus" that Bush inherited, they are very long on hyperbole and very short on detail.

I've said before that if the Clintons and Robert Reuban know the secret for heating up the economy and are withholding it first from Bush and now from 0bama, this is only a matter of definition away from Treason.

If they have no clue what made the economy go, then they should just STFU and acknowledge that they just happened to be there when things went well.

The economy tanked due to the financial melt down that resulted from the poor oversite by both parties of the lending practices of the companies, like Nationwide, that bribed our lawmakers, like Chris Dodd. Neither party has clean hands on this.

What is certain is that the misguided and unrealistic programs which are actually thinly veiled thievery by the Obama Administration and the Democrat controlled Congress have not solved the problem. How much more good money do you propose we throw after bad to support folks that obviously don't have a clue?

The Congress has had 4 years to figure out a solution and the Big 0 has had 2 years. All are impotent. It's possilbe that the Republicans don't have the answers. It's certain that the Democrats don't have the answers. If we continue with the Dems, we are assured of digging the hole we are in even deeper.

With The Reps we might at least stop digging.

Why do I think that politicians are thieves? Charlie Rangle has spent 1.5 million dollars on legal fees since last summer.

1. Where did he get 1.5 million dollars?
2. What makes his job worth that much to whomever is paying the bills, that is, paying for Rangle's seat?

In the surveys, who do they credit for the robust Summer of Recovery that we are enjoying? Is there a new program in the works for "The Autumn of Even More Recovery"?

I don't know how much more "Recovery" we can tolerate without just dissolving as a nation.
