Unfortunately for Republicans, the math is only going to get worse. Groups that form the core of GOP support—older whites, blue-collar whites, married people and rural residents—are declining as a proportion of the electorate. Groups that lean Democratic—minorities, young people and single women—are growing.

The challenge is obvious: Republicans can’t win a presidential election by trying to grab a larger piece of a shrinking pie.

Why do you think liberals have refused to close the border for decades, Guno? What's powering the Democrats right now is the wave of Hispanic immigration that's poured over our southern border.

My question for people like you is what do you think will happen down the road when it dawns on more and more of the electorate that liberal policies don't work? You can't blame conservatives when liberals control power in government. Then you have to govern. The Obama Administration illustrates how much trouble progressives have doing so.
