The Navys New Class of Warships: Big Bucks, Little Bang -- Time
The Navys new Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) is not only staggeringly overpriced and chronically unreliable but even if it were to work perfectly cannot match the combat power of similar sized foreign warships costing only a fraction as much. Lets take a deep dive and try to figure out why.

My Comment: I would like to compare this to the Air force's F-35 program .... but it is not a fair comparison for the simple reason that the F-35 program is the ultimate in being staggeringly overpriced with questionable and still need to be proven capabilities.
